MemberUpdate 27th August:Around 8am I spoke to Mikayla and they were having breakfast. Later in the morning there was stacks of noise as they helped our guys working there, Dickson and Navu with the building of our bar.
Around 11am they set off to do some rafting down the Mamba River. As would have it in Kokoda, not everything goes according to plan. The tubes had to be pumped up but it was hard to find a compressor so they had to drive around until everything was ready for them to get in the water.
After they rafted down the river, they were picked up by our driver in our truck and driven back to Orohaven Kokoda Retreat.
Later this afternoon I phoned to speak with her and was informed they had driven off in our truck with our driver. Another phone call to our driver found out they were at the Yauga block where they were enjoying some refreshments put on by the family. Andrew was absent as he had already left to head off back to Port Moresby to arrange another trek he is on which heads out shortly.
From the way Mikayla was speaking, Pat was a big hit and was at the time signing t/shirts – and about to put on some kind of show.

MemberUpdate 28th August: As I type this the group are about to board their flight from Popondetta back to Port Moresby and should arrive here around midday.
This morning they were up bright and early for the drive to Popondetta. It was decided to leave around 3am just in case of a break down, flat tyre, whatever. When they arrived in Popondetta they went for a look around the war memorial area and then to the Comfort Inn for some breakfast or that was the plan the last time I spoke to Mikayla.
