MemberOn the way up to Owers' Corner the bus stopped off at Rouna Falls lookout. Trekkers got out and stretched their legs and took in the waterfall view from the lookout area provided.

MemberUpdate 19th July: Heard from the track tonight that trekkers have reached Goodwater Campsite where they will spend the night. I spoke to Kingsley via sat phone around 8pm and I could hear our boys singing away in the background. So far so good, everyone is doing ok.

MemberUpdate 24th July:Trekkers have now reached Alola Village where they are spending the night. Luke Brennan was airlifted off the track yesterday from Efogi Village as he was feeling weak due to vomiting. Following medication he was feeling ok today and flew over to Popondetta to meet up with the group as they walk off the track tomorrow.
Much cheaper alternative compared to spending time in expensive hotels in Port Moresby.
As for the others, they are all doing well and no doubt will be excited to know they are almost to Kokoda.

MemberSunday 25th July: While you all might be reading the sunday papers; mowing the lawn or doing whatever, think of Luke walking up a very tough hill to join up with the others on this trek.
On the other hand think of the other trekkers, who this morning will walk around the corner from the Alola end to the highlight of the trek, Isurava Memorial.
Luke as I write this is 10 minutes away from Isurava Village. He will then have 1 1/2 hours walk depending on his speed, to reach the same area.
Will keep you posted as we asked the group to have a SLOW start this morning to allow Luke to catch up to them at the Isurava Memorial area. He is doing really well. If he meets them on the track, a guy called Wilson Sevesi who is walking with him will hand Luke over to Freddy Yauga his personal porter to carry on and take him to the memorial area.
Freddy and his trekker will then walk off the track together as they originally started. Freddy is renowned for his guitar playing and singing. Luke was telling me he was amazed at how Freddy could carry his pack, walk up a hill, play his guitar and sing while he was struggling to put one foot after another!
