Tony at work today. Glenn said to pass on that it looks fabulous there, but it definitley looks a lot
like the Botanical Gardens in Brisbane. Are you sure that you are in PNG.
Can't believe that you only have one more day to go, it seems to have gone so fast. Probably not for you. Hope you are all well.
    Missing u. Luv Marg xxxx

Update 12th May: Wallace phoned our base in Kokoda today and requested 10 CARTONS of BEER…now thats a lot of beer.

Their request has been granted and today 10 cartons were purchased in Popondetta and are now in Kokoda waiting for the group to arrive tomorrow!

Think of them tomorrow sampling our local SP BEER!!! rolleyes.gif

That request is no shock at all if you know those boys… tongue.gif

I guess you guys need something to lure you across the finish line ?
Well every sip has been well-earned.

Sleep well and enjoy your last night on the trail… tomorrow the final stretch awaits.
We can't wait to greet you on Saturday Chris, even if it's with a major hangover from all that beer.

Sending loads of love to you all,
    Stephanie xxx

Tonight they will sleep to the roar of Eora Creek. I heard today that Tony has been out in front most of the way with the lead group but yesterday he was sick….but today he is making up for it and is keeping up with Brendan again.

A couple of guys are toughing it out at the back but I will let them tell you who they are when they get back. Do not worry they are doing ok just doing it tougher then the others it seems.

I asked what time they went to bed last night…the reply was they stayed up till around 9pm….with the exception of the two who hit the sack early.

    So a late night, 9pm!!!
