Then its up up up, well a couple of downs….before you reach Ioribaiwa. The photographs here were taken from Trek 647 who set themselves the same time frame as this group.

When you wake up tomorrow think of them trudging through the mud, with more hills in sight that never seem to end until you reach Nauro.

Love this web site. Much happier now that we know what is going on. Sounds like you have all done well. You all certainly look the part in the photos.
Hope it is not too wet. Enjoy (if that is what you would say) as you have been waiting for this for a long time.
    Another challenge to tick off.
Do you need the van and support crew yet?…LOL Luv MargXXXX

Update 10th May: Have just not long received a phone call from David Clark Embo from Maguli Range. He said last night they ate quite early and by 7pm all trekkers were sleeping like babes.

Wallace just phoned up to say much the same as David except he added that Tony has a new nickname 'White man Brendan'…why coz the trek champion Brendan Buka is walking with this group and Tony is always in the lead pack along with Mark.

Five of the guys at this stage are digging deep but are ok so no need to panic, as all are doing fine. I think they must be wondering however, how on earth Brendan did it in the time he did, Owers' Corner to Kokoda in 16:34. Apparently after experiencing the terrain they are asking him plenty of questions along the way.

This morning they had a plan a) and a plan b)…at this stage it looks like plan b) is the winner as Wallace has decided their destination for today is 5 creek which is near the wall or Menari.

Tomorrow night has now changed as well and instead of 1900 will now be Naduri Village.

Photographs: Nauro Village. Yesterday they would have walked through this village. No doubt more questions for someone like Brendan. He left Owers' Corner at 7am and was in Nauro before 11am.

Hi my husband, hope all is going well and the mozzies are not eating u alive. Thinking about u every step of the way. I'm sure all that training at Loftty got you through today and will for the rest of the week.
By the way just to let u know, your most over-rated sports person actually won a race yesterday.
As for the Saints they got flogged ,yes flogged by Carlton lastnight. 66 points.
    Take care, Love Marg xxxx
