MemberApproximately 9am this morning we picked up from Sogeri Lodge Thomas Wood and Rachael Donovan who began their walk today from Owers' Corner to Kokoda along with my son Shane Thomas as their guide.
On arrival in PNG yesterday they were met at the airport and driven out to Sogeri. On the way they stopped off at the Bomana War Cemetery.

MemberBut not before another photograph with them and their personal porters. Paul also took the opportunity to talk on his mobile phone before commencing his walk. Back where he lives he won the seat for their village so is considered a 'big man' back home.

MemberTrekkers spent last night at the half way point of Efogi. Today the plan is to reach 1900/Myola Junction commonly referred to as 'Dump 1'. Shane said everyone is still doing ok with no worries whatsoever.
