Have not long arrived back in the office from dropping off our latest trek. This trek has a lone trekker walking with my son Shane Thomas commencing at Owers' Corner and finishing in Kokoda on the 13th June where they will overnight at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. The trekkers name is:

Rouna_Lookout_640x480_.jpgLast night was spent at Sogeri Lodge on the outskirts of Port Moresby and close to the road that heads out to Owers' Corner. This morning I met up to Torfinn and photographs were once again taken.
P6131199__640x480_.jpgUpdate 15th June: Trekkers have now reached Nauro Village where they are spending the night. Everyone is ok and doing well.
Unfortunately I have a problem with the forum at the moment and I cannot upload any photographs. Nathan is presently looking into the problem and hopefully a solution will be found soon.
Update 17th June: Shane called in twice this afternoon to say they have reached 1900/Myola Junction. They are all ok it seems and everything is going ahead as planned.
Tomorrow night they hope to reach Eora Creek.
Update 19th June: Shane phoned up earlier today and said they reached Alola last night. Today instead of spending another night on the track they walked out one day ahead of schedule.
So congratulations to Torfinn who walked out into Kokoda today. He is now resting at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat along with Shane and the porters on his trek. Think of them later, getting stuck into some pizza's and if he drinks a cold cold beer!
Was just informed chicken is on the menu for tonight's meal!

Update 21st June: As I write this, Torfinn is waiting at Guria airport, Popondetta to catch his flight back into Port Moresby. Yesterday he went for a raft down the river with some of our porters as he had time on his hands. I will meet with him later this morning when he arrives here in Port Moresby.
