    Update 20th June, 2005;

    All three groups (58 A, 58 B & 58 C) are now heading up to Isurava. There have been no radio contacts between any of the groups? guides and me, so that clearly indicates that everyone?s still moving up.

    Actually, I did get a call from one of the guide?s, but due to his two-way radio not transmitting well, I was not able to get hold of what he was saying. So I'm sure at that time, they must have been somewhere along the test mountain.
    The test mountain is actually the very first mountain to climb before reaching Isurava village. It?s a pretty big mountain to start off with, and it will take them some time before they get to the top and give me a call.

    And when they do, I will post up their latest and how they are all progressing.

    Latest on the trail;

    Trek 58 – A (led by Isaac Mamota)
    The group has finally reached Isurava Village. Though, it was tough climbing the test mountain in the first few hours, they managed to pull it off well. Everyone did great, they are all fine and doing ok. At the moment some trekkers are taking a shower while the rest of them are waiting for their turn to come.

    Trek 58 – B (led by Justice Evari)
    This group followed up behind trek 58 – A; likewise, they too struggled on the way up, but manage to make it through to the end. All trekkers did great; they are all fine and well. At this time, some are taking a nap or rest, while others who still have the strength are hanging around, having a look at the place/village.

    Hi Val,
    Charles was asleep and could not come to the two-way-radio to get your message, but Dylan was around, so he got your message and says ?Thank you?

    Trek 58 – C (led by Lendy Noel)
    After a long and hard start this morning, they too did great and have also reached Isurava Village; all trekkers are ok and well. Right now, some trekkers are having a look around while others head off, for a quick bath.

    All three groups will camp at Isurava Village tonight, and move to their next destination tomorrow. More of their updates will be posted up tomorrow, and the days yet to come.

    Update 21st June, 2005;

    Trek 58 – A (led by Isaac Mamota)
    Just 10 minutes ago, I got a call from the two-way-radio, by this group?s guide, who gave the latest of the group?s progress?

    They left Isurava village around 6:45am this morning and headed out for an early start. With the weather looking good, it was a bright start for them as they reached the Battlefield, and took some pictures and time to read what was on the monuments. All trekkers are ok, still looking fit and ready to hit their next destination, Eora Creek.

    Trek 58 – B (led by Justice Evari)
    Likewise, this group started off the same time as trek 58 – A or probably less then the precise time, but they all moved on, slowly together. Stopped at the Battlefield, for a couple of shots and a look or read at the monuments, before proceeding on. Now at, Alola, taking a rest, and will slowly move down with the rest of the other groups. All trekker are doing fantastic, and still keeping up.

    At the moment, the group guide Justice is having an ankle problem, and it?s slowing him down behind the lot, but he doesn?t think it?s that serious. He?s now let the assistant guide take the lead for him, until he recovers from his ankle problem.

    Trek 58 – C (led by Lendy Noel)
    They too started off early this morning around 6:50am and headed out for a bright start. Only 10 minutes behind the first group, and 4 to 5 minutes behind the second group, they did extremely well. The group caught up with the other leading groups at Isurava Battlefield, where all the trekkers took the time to read each monument and taking shots of the beautiful site.

    Currently located at Alola, they are also taking a rest, and will move on when they get enough. All trekkers are ok and still doing great.

    All three groups (58 – A, 58 – B & 58 – C) will camp at Eora creek tonight. When they reach that area, they will give me a call and update me on their latest. For now they are all slowly moving down the hill.

    To the families who sent messages to their loved ones on the trail. Unfortunately, at this time, I cannot relay any message to them, due to their movements and locations, but I will pass it on as soon as I hear that they are all at their camp site.

    Latest on the trail;

    Trek 58 – A
    After a fair bit of walk down the hill, the group made it Eora creek around 1pm-2pm this afternoon. Just as much time to take a bath in the icy cold creek and even sunbathe on the rocks, and that?s exactly what most of the trekkers did, to get themselves dried off before proceeding on to their camp site.

    After all the bath and sunbathing was over and done with, the group headed up to their camping area, and did the setting up of their tents, and prepared their evening gears and meals.

    All trekkers are ok, tired though, but still holding up. No say of anyone having difficulties or problems yet, which is good news, actually that?s great news. And they are all looking forward for the next day?s journey.

    Trek 58 – B
    This group arrived a few minutes behind group 58 – A, still enough time to take a nice long bath and even a good time to wash some dirty clothes in the creek and dry them on the rocks. All trekkers are ok, exhausted a little, but all fine and well.

    No injuries have been reported yet, so I guess? Everyone?s taking good care of each other.

    Messages from the trail;

    Brad Rowe; ?Doing fine, and all really well, love dad?..?

    Stephen Lowe; ?Having a great time, and still alive. The sun?s really hot around here, and everyone?s taking good care of me. Love dad??

    Charles & Dylan; ?Hi mom and everyone, we are all doing fine, and having a great time. Love Dylan & dad?.?

    And that?s all the messages for today?

    Trek 58 – C
    They too reached Eora creek the same time as group 58 – B, so had a nice cool shower in the creek. When they were done, the lot headed up to the camp site to set up their tents and stuffs to prepare them for the evening.

    All trekker still looking unbelievable fit, and well. No injuries or problems what so ever has been said, so all good news still coming in.

    Other then that, it?s all looking good on the trail, seems everyone?s enjoying themselves, so that tops it all up for today, more on the trail will be posted up tomorrow.
