Update 1st August: Sorry, could not put up a message yesterday as my internet was down.

Congratulations are in order for trek 570 who walked off the track one day ahead of schedule and arrived in Kokoda on the 30th July. Yesterday was a relaxing day spent in Kokoda and this morning as I type this they are waiting on our chartered flight to pick them up.

This group would have spent two nights at our base in Kokoda, Orohaven Kokoda Retreat.

After their arrival the group will be taken out to Bomana War Cemetery before they book into the Gateway Hotel. Telephone: +675 327 8100

Will take some pics today and post later on.

1st August: This morning as planned trek 550 arrived in from Kokoda on our chartered aircraft. They all looked really well as we loaded my prado to drive to the Gateway Hotel.

Before they could race off inside I asked for a photograph which I will share with you below:

The Byers family decided not to go to Bomana so Stuart McGregor was a lone trekker in my car as we drove out of town.

For Stuart it was a special part of the trek and he spent quite a long time there walking around the grounds. Before we departed Bomana War Cemetery I took the following photographs:

On behalf of all of us here at Kokoda Trekking, in particular, your guide Clement, personal porters and food porters, thanks for choosing to walk with us.

To John, sorry mate you did not finish your trek but the main thing is you are ok and well.
