Member9th October: Trekkers are now at Efogi the half way point where they will spend the night. Simon has struggled today and is looking forward to a good rest. As for the others they continue to do well.
We will hear from the track again tomorrow.

Have been following your journey, exhausting!! What wonderful experiences for you to share on your return. I am sure you are creating fantastic memories. Congrats on reaching the half way mark, quite an achievement. I hope the second half of the journey is easier than the first. Better you than me! Take care of yourself, stay safe.Beats report writing!

Member10th October: Today Simon is ok but Bryan is struggling. Earlier today I received a sat phone call saying he wanted to be air lifted off the track as he had been vomiting yesterday and was feeling weak.
Just as I was about to rush off to organise a chopper, another phone call came in saying Bryan had changed his mind and wanted to tough it out.
So for everyone following this trek, we have two aussies out there who really want to finish. I asked to speak to Bryan himself to make sure he was ok to continue and he assured me he was.
The plan for the day was for the boys to get everyone safely into camp and then for some of them to head back up the track to help Bryan.
He is trying his best to eat and consume other things to try and boost his energy level back up.
As for Simon, he seems to think he got a tummy bug but said no worries now. I could not talk for long as with sat phones you say what is needed and get off to make sure you have units left for emergencies.
I asked about the other two trekkers and was informed they were doing really well. They said Bo initially felt the heat and suffered a little but is ok now. As for Lisa, she must be strong as they have not mentioned her having any problems since they left Owers' Corner.

MemberBJ. Pump Up, there is no helicopter. Tough it out. Go hard. You will make it.

Sorry to hear you're not well, making a hard job harder.
Just do your best, mate. Can't ask for anything more than that.
Hopefully you'll see it through.

MemberDear Daddy,
Have fun at Kokoda.
I miss you Dad.
We had fun at the Leeton Show on the jumping castle, and we went for a ride in a boat.
We saw the snakes and lizards. We touched the snake wrapped on a ladies arm. It was fun.
love Ella
