MemberThis morning saw us picking up from the Gateway Hotel our two latest trekkers who had flown in a few days earlier and spent the time at Loloata Dive Resort. Not long after 8am they were driven to Bomana War Cemetery where they also met their guide and porters who will walk alongside them from Owers' Corner to Kokoda. Trekkers include :
- Peter Rochaix
- Steven Rochaix
Their guide is Ernst Jinga who flew in from Kokoda earlier this week to wait for his first trek of the season.

Member30th April: We heard from the track today that trekkers have found it very hard going due to the mud and that they have now reached Ofi Creek where they will spend the night.
No problems whatsoever at this stage which is good news and everything is going to plan.
Tomorrow they will push up past Naoro and then head down to Agulogo where they will spend the night.

Member1st May: We heard from Ernst Jinga today that they had to pass Agulogo due to the campsite area being full and they are now at a placed referred to as 'trumpet'.
He said everyone is fine and doing well.

Member3rd May: Trekkers slept last night at the half way point of Efogi and moved off today heading for Templeton's I where they planned on stopping for the night. Both trekkers and porters were doing ok and looking forward to the finish line of Kokoda.

Member5th May: Congratulations are in order fro Trek 508 who walked out in Kokoda today and who are now resting at our base Orohaven Kokoda Retreat adjacent to the airport to await their flight back to Port Moresby tomorrow.
Both trekkers are happy and ok and right now I believe are enjoying some home cooked pizza's and possibly even a massage by our qualified masseur.
Of late, trekkers have come back in raving about the food and services offered to our trekkers when they complete their trek.
They might even be enjoying their first sit down toilet since they left Port Moresby!
