Team 507 – keep up the good work.

Luke – you are the topic of conversation around the lunch table at work. Angela, John and me, of course, send love. See you on Sunday.

13th May: Instead of staying at Myola Junction trekkers have pushed on down to Templeton's Crossing so are well and truly on their way to Kokoda. Cyprian their assistant guide was out front with the father and sons and Luke. Clyde was at the back with the two young boys and the two women. They were all doing ok just enjoying their trek.

There was some confusion as to when they have to walk out into Kokoda. At the time I was in the car and not in front of my computer and thought it was the 16th they were supposed to come back into town. However on arriving back in the office and checking the details I found it was the 17th so will have to clarify out on the track by radio tomorrow.

Going further and fast than necessary, now you are all showing off!
    Really proud of you.
Would love to do it if it wasn't for the heat, humidity and the extreme hard work.
Chris we can't wait to hear all about it.
    See you soon.
    Love from us all

    Hi Leanne and Dawn
Good to hear you are going strong and finding it a walk in the park. Go girls we're really proud of you!
Got back from our mountains last night. Work finished but weather changed and no good for walking i.e rain, snow and strong winds.
Stay clean and dont play in the mud!

14th May: Trekkers are still ahead of schedule as they should be at Eora Creek tonight whereas they have reached Alola Village where they are spending the night. Tomorrow the plan is to walk on down to Hoi Village which is a hop step and jump away from Kokoda the finish point. A lot of trekkers reach this area and are feeling good and decide to walk on out to Kokoda a day early.

Will have to wait to see if they do this or if they stay as planned at Hoi Village campsite area.

You will be happy to know that we were able to read out all your messages today which I am led to believe touched trekkers very much to know they had families pulling for them.

No doubt when you get them back home, you will not be able to shut them up and they will be telling you all about their time out on the Kokoda Track.

My son just back from Australia yesterday flew over to Kokoda with a projector in his backpack to set up a movie theatre (well bush style) in Kokoda at our Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. So perhaps picture them on Saturday night eating pizza and watching a movie on a big screen.

To Boss Meri: Many thanks again for all the update! Any chance you will be able to post some pictures of our people in these amazing surroundings at some stage? Surely some would have been taken during the trek. I would very much appreciate that as our son will not come straight back to England.

To Dominic and Chris: Congratulations on doing so well! I am very impressed!
Can't wait to hear all the details! Lots of love from Veronika and family

Have been following your progress Dominic, extremely proud. Don't forget to say a prayer for your grandfather. In the meantime, on the rest of the planet, usual news: political scandal in the UK, budget deficits in Australia, recession, its raining in London, ManU have won the title yet again, MelbourneFC on the bottom of the ladder, etc etc…..maybe you guys should stay in PNG…..
