MemberThanks Boss Meri for the update and all the effort you and all involved have made to get dispute sorted out, general relief all round!
Dominic you sound just like me, I was always at the back, but then I would be at the back of a short cross country run, not a major trek in what sounds like poor conditions. Keep it up I'm sure you'll do it.
Chris pleased to see you weren't mentioned in dispatches, best that way.
Love from everyone at home.

MemberHi Boss Meri, I'm really enjoying reading the updates on how the trekkers are going (especially my mum Dawn & her friend Leanne). Mum was really worried about not keeping up with the rest of the group, but by the sounds of it, she is doing ok

Member12th May Its 9:10am our time and I have just spoken to our guide and also Chris & Dominic. I read out the messages posted on the website to both Chris & Dominic who were close by the guide and they seemed really touched and at the same time surprised that they were out on the Kokoda Track in the jungle of Papua New Guinea and they received news from back home.
Message from Dominic: Missing everyone, its really hard but I am doing ok.
Message from Chris: Having a really good time and enjoying myself. Its really tough going!
I asked about the two ladies and Luke and the reply from our guide was that they were all doing really well.

MemberHey glad to hear that everything is going along without any hitches, if you get a chance just tell Leanne and Dawn that if things get too much to remember what happened in the movie " Flying High" they will know what I mean. Love to them both.

MemberAt the time we spoke to the guide they were at Menari on their way to Efogi and were having a break.
They should be at the half way point of Efogi in a few hours time where they will have time to relax before heading off tomorrow to Myola Junction 1900 campsite area.
Photographs below:
Pic 1: Menari Village Guesthouse area
Pic 2: Shortly they will be walking down (not up) the hill shown in this photograph towards the village of Efogi as seen in the background.
Pic 3: They will be in for a tough walk up Brigade Hill however, before the descent down to Efogi. Lots of diggers lost their lives in this area so is a very sacred part of the Kokoda Track. The sticks placed in the ground represent the lives lost at Brigade Hill.

Member12th May: Everyone has now reached the half way point and its all down hill from now on…only kidding! But hey there are more down's than up's so all good.
Everyone continues to do well and tomorrow will move off to Myola Junction 1900.
Photographs:
Efogi area along with the guesthouse entry which is where they will be spending the night. If they are lucky they might end up showing inside the tank shown in the pic below.
