MemberSorry, have not heard from the track for a couple of days as they are down low and radio contact is difficult. If they had a problem they would have phoned us, so no news is good news. Today they will start to climb up to Alola and head to Isurava Village so we should hear from them today sometime.

MemberHi again Hooley Dooley, Mark and Alison,
Just letting you know I'm the only one in Coles that has worked out how to send you a note…. See David I told you I was computer savvy! (stop laughing!)

Had a note from Robyn this morning asking how I had managed to send you a note. Here are few a few inspirational words from her:
"Everyone is thinking of you and we hope your trek is turning out to be everything they were hoping it would be.
We are all very proud of you…
Allison – Robyn and Kylie have you as their hero and now you know can achieve the end result.
Looking forward to hearing all the stories on their return." – Love from Robyn!
Keep safe!

Member23rd April: Trekkers have just arrived back in from Kokoda and all they could talk about was the hospitality and food they ate at Kokoda last night.
Turns out Fred our new cook at Orohaven along with the newly constructed pizza wood fired oven was a real hit as they were all raving about the food and the MASSAGES at the end.
Will catch up with them again later this afternoon but for now all look very happy and fit with no injuries or problems that I could see.
If you wanted to give them a phone call, they are all staying at the Gateway Hotel:

MemberCONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE ON TREK 498! What an amazing achievement!
Mark, David & Alison … There are so many of your friends and colleagues here who have been following your journey every day. We have been checking out the landscape using the GPS satellite views and the terrain maps. What amazing technology! We look forward to welcoming you home, and we are especially looking forward to hearing all about your incredible adventure.

Member24th April: Met up with everyone as planned a little after 6pm last night and whilst some were a little tipsy having no doubt celebrated their successful trek, they were full of laughter and cheer and raving about our KTL boys who walked alongside them.
All in all a great time seemed to have been had by all. Someone described it like childbirth, at the time you think never again but afterwards on reflection you are self satisfied with the fact you finished one of the great walks in the world.
Well done Trek 498! and congratulations from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking.
Thanks for choosing to walk with us and our KTL staff.
