24th April: Trekkers continue to rest at Kokoda and no doubt by now will be getting ready for dinner having more than likely had their wash in the creek or they may have decided on a shower.
Tomorrow they will attend the dawn service put on by Soc Kienzle in Kokoda and will fly back to Port Moresby around 10am.
Congratulations Aaron & Tegan.What an amazing acheivement, and to finish a day early too. WOW!
From Mum & Dad25th April: I met up with trekkers from Trek 492 earlier today when I picked them up from the airport and drove them to their respective hotels.
Anzac Day in Kokoda it seems went off ok first thing this morning and all trekkers appeared to have enjoyed their trek and the service.
The last I heard was that they were all meeting at the Airways Hotel later tonight to celebrate together their successful kokoda experience.
Photographs below were taken by Anthea and were kindly given to me when we met up at the airport.
