Update 5th July 3pm: Have just received a radio message from David saying they were at Imita Ridge and heading for Ua'Ule Creek where they planned on spending the night. This is really good going as the original plan was Uberi.

Update 6th July:8:15am – we have just heard from our other group with the two uni students that they have reached Ioribaiwa. I asked about trek 488 and was told they all slept at the same campsite last night being Ua'Ule Creek. All trekkers were all ok and had done well yesterday.

Update 9am 6th July: David just contacted us by two way radio to advise they have all just reached Ioribaiwa Village. Laurie is having knee problems and doing it tougher than the rest but is hanging in there.

He has one of our guides Paul Esiko as his personal porter so has an experienced person with him to help him make it to Kokoda.

David mentioned the plan was to spend the night at Naoro Village unless they make good time and move down to Agulogo campsite.

Update 6th July: Heard from David around 6pm that they had all reached Nauro Village where they planned on staying tonight. Laurie is still coming up the rear with his porter Paul along with Kim and her porter who are tagging along. I asked if Kim was toughing it out as well but was advised she was just hanging with the BOSS…haha smile.gif

David said he is talking heaps and even though doing it tough is enjoying his trek!

All other trekkers I have been informed are fitter than last years trekkers and doing extremely well at this stage of their trek.
