MemberTomorrow they will cross over Eora Creek and climb up to Alola and then walk around the corner to Isurava Monument area over a course of quite a few hours. The final climb up to Alola is quite tough but by now they should have their mountain legs so all should be ok.

MemberUpdate 6th July:We have just heard from Kokoda that trekkers have completed their trek and are presently resting at our camp in Kokoda.
So CONGRATULATIONS are in order for trek 467! – well done from all of us here at KTL.
This trek is not yet over as they will continue on to Popondetta early hours of tomorrow morning and will fly back into Port Moresby on Tuesday.
We heard that last night they overnighted at Deniki and this morning walked down to Kokoda.

MemberToday they would have walked past the village of Kovelo before reaching the Kokoda Station. No doubt they would have spent some time there before walking down to our camp.

MemberBTW, congratulations must also go to Ian Cattell who flew into Efogi last Wednesday with our food drop and commenced his trek all over again. He successfully walked out into Kokoda today as well, so well done Ian! Sorry I meant to mention this earlier but with 11 treks now on the go, I hope you all understand how busy we all are around here at the present time.

MemberUpdate 7th July:Trekkers apparently had a great welcome when they reached Gona today. This afternoon they went by dinghy around Sanananda and Buna and back to Gona.
Ernst Jinga phoned up this afternoon by sat phone and said THANK YOU for giving me this trek as its been one of the best experiences of his life walking with this group of trekkers who have been so much fun!
Tomorrow they will make their way to Guria airport (Popondetta) to catch their flight back into Port Moresby. A small problem has arose whereby the Airline company chartered to pick them up phoned around 6pm tonight to say their pilot had not arrived back from Australia this afternoon as planned and they were trying to organise one of their other pilots to do the flight.

MemberUpdate 8th July: Trekkers are now back in Port Moresby and boy do they have some stories to tell so I am warning you all now, wait till they get back home.
If tonight was anything to go by they will not shut up for ages talking about Kokoda.
I have not laughed so much in awhile listening to them all talking about their experiences on and off the track.
