Yesterday we said goodbye to a group of 11 trekkers who headed out from Owers' Corner. Last night they spent the night at Ua'Ule Creek but one trekker Ian Cattell has decided to call it quits. I spoke to him via sat phone early this morning and he said he just does not feel up to it as he had a tough day yesterday and a good sleep last night and headed out this morning but pulled up as he knew he was not fit enough to complete the trek. Ian will walk back to Owers' Corner today and we will pick him up this afternoon when we drop off the other trekkers heading out today. Other remaining trekkers in trek 467 include :

Stuart Baker (back for a second go as something similar happened to him at this point last year); his brother Philip Baker; Peter Kearney; Eric Caesar; Tony Jaspers; Chris French; Tony Sheumack; Michael Osborne; Rick Nicholson and Karen Mitchell

Have found some pics in another camera so here we GO…

tongue.gif Glad all members of TRECK group are still on deck. Look after each other. Chris, all is well here. Got into Cats, so am very thrilled, though I think my legs may just be as sore as yours after a very gruelling audition. Like Rose I am in training and doing a different cocktail every day. Love from the kids and me, we are proud of your efforts. Lynda.

TJ & Eric the site has burnt down, but don't worry TJ – your office is still standing! We want photos, and lots of them to prove that you are really there… laugh.gif We have google earthed the track but can't find you on it… didn't you say you would be trekking naked???? unsure.gif
Eric make sure you give TJ big cuddles at night – you know he is scared of the dark!
Take care and look after each other and the rest of the TRECK team!
Miss you already AMF, Katie, Bipa, Lizzy & Thomas

Hey Tony, Chris, Ric, Eric and Karen,

Mezza and Co here (Leisa, Pat and Mick). Wishing you all good luck and hope u make it back alive.
Frenchy hope those 3/4 shorts are doing the job…they certainly looked fashionable.
Eric when Tony wakes you up in he middle of the night saying he heard a noise…don't open your tent…it's a trick! He's often tried to pull that one on all our camping trips.
Tony, Leisa wanted to say good luck with losing those extra pounds you're carrying and she can't wait to tease you when you stack them all back on when you get home.
Good luck to all again and we look forward to some pics! Preferable not of Tony trekking naked…no one needs to see that sight.

Hey TRECK team. Little concerned I have never seen any other people in the photos on this site before in my life. Are you guys doing the big con! ? Ae you really at the Moresby resort drinking Pina Colada's and chatting up chicks, (and blokes too for Karen)? We want proof. Just had a lovely roast for tea by the way. Remember keep those tents zipped. No tippy toeing. All is well at DTBC Chris. Lyndax

Ok … clearly the rest of trek 467 are a good looking bunch too … But Team TRECK, could you please get your mugs in front of the lens … not good when I am bragging at work Karen! Tony – are you missing your expensive insect repellent UV resistent black shirt that weighs .05g? I've had to increase my training – 2 cocktails per day now, else I'm not going to get throught the entire prescription. Keep it up 467 – looking good …. Rose and the boys xxx

Hey 467 … looking great – loving the pics! Looks awfully muddy, that'll make the stroll a bit more rigorous and you'll have to queue at the laundromat? hey Tony – Robbie said Hi … a man of few words. Declan's having ferral sleep over at Rosebud, so he didn't say anything. How's the TRECK choir? Oh no – gotta go – having a flash back of your airport version of "In the Jungle …"

Love Rose and the Boys xxx

So we've got it sussed – your'e not even walking! We hope the 4wd's are air conditioned for your comfort!
We gather from the arse shot that it is you TJ… We can see Karen and Frenchie in the photo's but, where's Eric and Rick? Have you left Eric on the side of the track already to fend off the enemy by himself? ph34r.gif
The flat grassy paths and handrails next to the rivers make it look way too easy. We think we might do it ourselves next month before the wet season. What do you think?
Hope your rendition of "In the Jungle" is being heard by all on a daily basis…
It sure is quiet at luch time!
Keep up the great work our fearless leaders!

Update 4th July: Trekkers have now made it to Eora Creek and are now on the home stretch. The boys will start getting excited as they know they will soon be home in Kokoda with their families once again. They also know the will soon have their trekkers safely to Kokoda.

For the Gona boys travelling along with them, they know they will be heading back home and along with them will be their new trekking friends. No doubt for these guys they will be looking forward to showing them around their district and to finish off their trek in grand style in Popondetta.

Will attach a map which shows where they are now and how far to GO!!!
