MemberAfter they reach Deniki they will head for Hoi Village and then Kovelo. Depending on how Craig and Ben are going they may end up spending the night at Kovelo and walk into Kokoda tomorrow or else they will do this today and overnight in our camp.

Pic 4: Around about here more often than not, our KTL boys start to dress up our trekkers. In PNG they call it bilas which means decorate with leaves and so on.

MemberHi my family
I have heard through the Track Vine that you are all ok – but Craig and Ben are not doing so well.
No news other than that – I hope Dad and your brothers are staying with you both and taking care of you – I am sure that all will be wanting to make sure you make it. Not knowing what is wrong is probably the hardest thing for us.
I will be praying that God will keep you all safe for me.
Hugs and hugs
Mum

MemberHi Craig
You're almost there. Keep up the good work. You are coming home, right?
Is your pack holding you up because I know you were concerned about the weight of your pack. I did say take only what you need to survive, I know it's your industrial strength hairdryer, and you can't live without it, but…….
Went to Hui's, what a waste of time the only thing that I got was an interesting read out of the that's life magazine. Portaloo Kenny is the new face of the Kokoda Track Foundation and they want to install toilets along the track.
Tomorrow night you'll be in your own bed, that's if Nicholas lets you.
On the way back through duty free, if you want that watch just stop and get it if the price is right and take Ben with you, he can get an engagement ring while he's there.
Hey you goose. I said can you get the number of that trucking school not trekking!!!!!!
See you at the airport, fly safe. Do not request a fly by!

MemberHey sweetie,
Haven't heard any progress last night so hopefully not far to trek this morning…. I am eagerly awaiting your return tonight….
Hope you have a great trip back – make sure you keep moving on the plane so your limbs don't cease on you for when you get into Brisbane. As Margaret said please no flybys just come home to us safely.
What an awsome job by all of you. The days that were hard you successfully overcame and the days that were easy well they were easy – that there would have been too many of these I would suspect.
Take care today, have fun and I will see you tonight.
Love ya Kel

MemberMorning my family
I am hoping that you all had a good night's sleep in Kokoda last night ???
No news to tell me that this is not the case so can only hope that you are all there.
Can't wait for the hours to tick by so I can trundle off to my favourite place – the Airport !!!!
It will be great if you get back to Port Moresby early enough to have a swim and just relax around the pool. Keep save my loves – just hours away from home now.
Luv you all heaps

MemberUpdate 17th August: As I type this the boys are in the air heading this way to Port Moresby expected arrival time 12:45pm so I had best hurry along.
Last night they spent it at Kovelo where Rod lives and this morning walked down to the Kokoda Station to await their flight back into Port Moresby.

MemberHi Craig
Glad to see you made it! Congratulaions on your biggest hike yet.
Just a quick one, make sure you shower and shave before you get back otherwise you might have a few more miles to hike.
See you soon!
