    Hello to trekking family

Another day has arrived and you are another day closer to your goal. Hope the temperatures in the highland areas are being kind to you and that the wild life is staying at a distance.

Think of you all constantly, wishing you health and safety.

I am sure there are times when the going is really tough, these are the times when i know you will all look out for each other and help each other along. You have such a wonderful assortment of personalities and skills in your group – a clown, well possibly a couple of clowns, a few jokers (as well as a few jokers who double as clowns), a TP, a "train-ed" man, someone who can make a boiler if you need one, someone who can "screen"everything and another who can "account" for everything, someone who can captain a boat or build some furniture along the way, even someone who can make a parachute if there is a need, and a pilot if you just happen to find an aircraft that needs a pilot. With two fearless leaders and your porters, what a talented amazingingly resourceful group – I am wondering how many have put their hand up for the Kokoda Challenge ??????

Only 5 more sleeps – keep safe today guys – i will check in again tonight in the hope of an update.

    Love

    Di and Mum

    Hi Craig
Hannah told me about this forum thing. So I thought I'd give you an update on things. Had to wait till I got to work to do this because the internet connection at home was playing up. Lucky thing Hannah was there last night or the computer would have ended up across the room.

Saturday open house was very busy and looked like two interested parties, as they hung around 4 a bit. Nicholas was fantastic last night at the school musical and I am picking him up earlier today for his beauty sleep for tonights performance.

James' appoinment went really good, I finally found a doctor who is really good. He is willing to help with the referral we need for J, we just need to get a copy of the j files together to give him an insight.

Photos look good. Keep it up, your doing good!

Got a lovely postcard from Kate from the Cayman Islands and a worrying phone call from the bank. Ha, Ha.

See ya when you get back, keep up the good work.

    Morning troops!
Was going to wait until I had an update – but I am impatient!!

Chief – Thought you'd like to know I put petrol in my car! Unleaded 91! Hope that is the right number!? tongue.gif
Banked some cheques for you yesterday. So you've got at LEAST another .50c in the bank!

I think Phoenix and Shadow are sick of 'just Mummy'!
They keep following me around all the time.
I'm off to see Joel graduate this afternoon. Told your folks about the forum – so no doubt your Dad will be on here to check what you two are up to.
Say Hi to Zach for me too. Sarah and Isabella are heading off down the coast tomorrow.
I sent them a text message to let them know you'd arrived and were heading off.

My family all say 'hi' – thinking of you and wish you the best.
We've all looked at the photo's – Daniel keeps calling me 99 – because I called you Chief!! hehe We're all so very proud of you.

Hope your feet are doing okay. That electrolyte drink doing the trick?
Food not giving you any 'trouble'?

Only 5 more sleeps and you'll be home. Can't wait!

Want anything special cooked for your first meal back?

    Love you dearly.
Think of you and pray for you often.
    Love you.
Will check back in later –
    Han xo

    Hi Ya All,

I am hoping that no news is good news – that you are doing wonderfully well. Just think four days of your trek are done only four to go now. You are on the down hill stretch now. haha laugh.gif laugh.gif

We are all at home eagerly awaiting your return on Sunday night fit and well I hope. Just think Ben all this training of your muscles for when we have to move out of home in the next couple of weeks. You will be so prepared. laugh.gif laugh.gif wub.gif

Keep going as there is no turning back – only worthwhile to get to the end. I have faith that you all will make it now. By now you will be settling into your new home only for it all to end in 5 more sleeps.

Keep those smiles and plenty of puns happening. Hopefully Ben will come home with some new ones. I know who will be the biggest influences – Craig, Aaron and Brett.

Can't wait to see you babe.

    Love Kel

Hi everyone – I am sure you are all having a wonderful adventure and don't have too many sore muscles. It's a journey you will always remember.

Richard – hope you haven't been too cold at night. It has been very cold here. Think you should have left your long johns for me. Ha Ha!!! We all miss you heaps but glad you are able to share this great trek with family and friends. Your dad would be so proud of you.

Take care – love you heaps.

A Big Hello to Neil and Doug

I miss you guys so much – make sure you look after each other and come home safe to me.

I hope and pray you are having the experience you were wishing for – I am very proud of you both.

Boy it has been chilly here. What about there?

The house is so quiet without you both.

Are you all sticking together in your group or are you splitting up throughout the day

I suppose I will go and have to buy those steaks Doug said he wanted when he got home. Hope the food is okay and you are warm enough at night.

    Hugs and Kisses

    Hi Craig

All going well at your end, of course. The well supplied goretex guys.

Tonights musical went really good, I think the funniest bit was when Mrs Tanzen was doing the thank yous she was thanking Crystal's parents the Johhenesens and she thanked Mr and Mrs Jorgensen and she realised she said the wrong thing so, she quickly fixed that. (Probably because I have been at school the last three weeks) But funny!

The house had someone through again today.

Well off to bed, long night because J is sick, coughing argh!!! Hope you have been getting a good nights sleep. Just ask one of ter guys if you have been snoring and that will answer if you have of not.

Taking Maverick 4 a drive tomorrow.

    See Ya, Take Care

Update 12th August: Trekkers have now made it to Efogi where they will spend the night. This is probably the best guesthouse on the track so they should enjoy their time there. On the track our KTL boys live on instant rice which they eat but prefer the local brand.

In Efogi we always put Trukai rice by the bagful as we can fly it in on our food drop so the boys really look forward to hitting this campsite.

Well well well reached your half way mark…. Well done. Not too many more hills now before you head down towards kokoda village. Only a couple more to go.

Hope you are taking plenty of photos Ben and learning somemore lingo as Dave will probably ask you if you learnt anymore.

I am finally back to work today although I still don't feel 100%. I can gauge what your office is going to be today so have a great day trekking – ensuring you are looking after yourself and I will check in again obviously throughout the day.

Spoke to your mum and dad last night to give them the update they were really pleased to hear how you were doing. Will let them know today that you have reached the half way mark and going further today.

Love you Babe and I am so proud of you.
    Love Kelszy
