A group of trekkers arrived up here today from the Gold Coast so my wantoks are in town and on the track. All five trekkers are walking to raise money for breast cancer and include :
Gordon Lonie; Bren Dalby; George Dalby; Aaron Pinkerton and Jim Donohoe
Due to their schedule being changed they arrived around 1pm this afternoon. After they had cleared customs they were driven up to the Tropic Air terminal building and approximately 2pm were on the flight to Kokoda.
After arriving in Kokoda they walked up to the Kokoda Station and then onto Kovelo where they spent the night in one of our guides guesthouse.
Update 24th May:Trekkers have now made it to Myola Junction where they will spend the night. One was struggling earlier on but is doing ok now.

IMG_0326___Templeton__s_Cros__Small_.jpgUpdate 25th May: We heard by sat phone earlier today that trekkers were at Naduri Village where they were having a cuppa and some lunch before moving onto Efogi Village where they will overnight. All continue to do well.

IMGP4059__Small_.JPGUpdate 24th May: We heard from our guide Johnsford that they have now reached the half way point of Efogi. Everyone is ok and doing well. They have now stocked up on food and tomorrow morning will walk towards Menari.
Picture_132.jpgUpdate 27th May: Trekkers passed through Menari yesterday and were heading for Agulogo when we spoke to them by two way radio. We have not heard from them today but assume by now they have passed through Naoro Village and onto Jap's Ladder..

DSC_0323__Small_.JPGUpdate 28th May: Have just received a sat phone call from Johnsford our guide saying they had reached Goodwater Campsite and would arrive up at Owers' Corner around 8:30am tomorrow.
All trekkers are doing ok and looking forward to arriving at Owers' Corner.
