MemberJust a short message to say after I read out the messages Kim came on the radio with a message to post on her behalf but shortly after I acknowledged her voice and to go ahead the radio cut out and went dead.
Later it came back on again but by then then had turned off their two way radio to save battery life but lets just say she was thinking of you all and wanted to express what she felt after hearing all the messages from her loved ones.
Our boys often inform us that when trekkers hear from home, they are often very emotional as they are doing it tough more often than not and to hear encouragement from someone they care about can make all the difference so keep POSTING

MemberHello Casey. We are following your progress and are wrapped at your efforts thus far. Keep up that grit and determination and hopefully we will see that picture of you at the end of the track in a couple of days from now.
The weather here is freezing with plenty of snow on the mountains. We have a wet week ahead of us & hopefully some of that will actually find its way in to the Hume and the Murray. Trivia is not the same without your educated imput so get this done and hurry back (you know you want to).
Best of luck Casey for the rest of your trek and we know you will give it your best shot.
Regards from all your team mates at LWDC, Bandiana.

MemberHi Kim, I was so glad to hear the good news yesterday as I was starting to stress a bit. I can't believe the trek is finally coming to an end after all those months of training. But it's home, un-pack, re-pack and then Thailand. Thats life in the fast lane for you. Enjoy the last stages. Miss you heaps. Lots of love, Mum.
