MemberUpdate 28th September: We have not heard from Wallace today but the grapevine informs us they had hoped to pass Nauro and reach Agulogo today.
He may have phoned earlier but we were at the airport getting away 38 trekkers (mainly school students) who they will pass in a few days time. They too want to meet Brendan Buka. Hopefully he has cleaned his teeth if he has to keep smiling away for pics with trekkers!

MemberUpdate 30th September: Wallace called in today by sat phone to say they had reached EFOGI…..the HALF WAY POINT!!!
He mentioned that Brian is finding the downhills hard but Wallace is very CONFIDENT he will walk out in Kokoda.
All others in this group are doing reall well it seems. Yes two birthday's on this trek. Wallace said they sang happy birthday to Lesleigh and she was very happy.
When I was talking to him I thought he was in the middle of a piggery as there was lots of noise going on in the background. Turns out it was a touch footy match!

MemberUpdate 2nd October: Its been raining on the track and hard to get messages out. Trekkers reached Myola Junction 1900 campsite last night where they overnighted with our other group heading in the opposite direction from Kokoda.
Tonight they should be somewhere near Eora Creek.
They are definitely on target to walk off the track on Saturday.

MemberUpdate 3rd October: Wallace phoned today by sat phone from Eora Creek as they were heading towards Isurava.
Brian's legs are sore and hurting but is doing fine and they are still confident they will get him to Kokoda. He too is saying he is ok just his legs giving him problems and last night he got to Eora Creek at 9pm. Brian wants to let his family know he is doing ok and hanging in there.
All others in the group are doing ok.
Tomorrow they will walk out into Kokoda so right on schedule to finish their trek. On Sunday a flight has been organised to collect the group with the exception of Brian who is staying on in Kokoda a few extra days and will fly out on the 8th October with another group coming up the rear of this trek.

Happy Birthday for the 27th! We have arrived home safely from Moreton Island. We are so proud of you. I will be keeping a close eye on the forum to hear all your success. Uncle Mervyn has tried to get on to wish you luck but has had trouble. All our love,
