This morning trek 430A got underway from Owers' Corner to Kokoda. Kristy was picked up from the Gateway Hotel and all the others were picked up from the Airways Hotel around 7am this morning. Trekkers in this group are made up as follows:
Kristy Simshauser; Greg Brick; Jannine Stewart; Rebecca Nibaldi; Kate Stevenson; Rebecca Sharp and Mark Brown
With the exception of Kristy who has been here for a couple of days diving, the others arrived late off a flight yesterday and made fun that booking out of their hotel today made them late again due to how long it took just like the previous night when they were late for the briefing. I guess you could say they are now familiar with PNG time.
We have heard from the track that they did well today and reached Ua'Ule Creek campsite where they plan on spending the night.

Seems both treks are walking together so must be enjoying each others company.
According to Tarina the guide on the other trek, all porters and trekkers in both groups are walking strong and doing just fine with no problems whatsoever which is excellent NEWS

D6_VIEW_FROM_NAURO1__Small_.JPGUpdate 16th August: Trekkers were on the move early this morning heading towards Efogi where they plan on spending the night. I have received a couple of radio calls today from Menari lookout and again further down the track.
Both groups it seems are still sticking together as they head to Efogi.

IMG_0984__Small_.JPGUpdate 19th August: After a few days of not hearing from our group when they were quite low in around the Templeton's area, we have been informed they spent a night Eora Creek and now are at Isurava Village.
Tonight they will share the campsite with the other trek heading in the same direction and two of our groups who have walked up today from Kokoda walking in the opposite direction.
This group must be getting along quite well as the two groups have stayed together all the way from Owers' to Kokoda.
Tomorrow they will walk out into Kokoda where they will spend the night before flying back into Port Moresby on Thursday.

Tomorrow they will walk down to the airport for their flight back into Port Moresby.
