MemberHi Everyone, hope your enjoying your trek so far, the photos that have been put up look fantastic, especially one of Daniel looking out over a small valley looking very pensive!
I'm missing Dylan terribly and I know Christine is missing Daniel lots too. And of course who could forget Norm!
Toby has been a little sooky, but he's not been as bad as I thought he would be.
I'm anxiously waiting to see how today's leg of the journey went.
Well done on Boss Meri for doing a wonderful job with this forum.
Hugs all round and keep well

MemberHi to all of you up there. Hope you are all coping well with heat & the hills. Haven't heard any news for a while, so we presume no news is good news. The week has gone fairly quickly for us back here but I guess it would feel like an eternity for you. Cant wait to see you all when you get home. All the best for the remainder of the trek.

MemberUpdate 26th July: We heard from Ernst today stating he had reached Nauro Village where they planned on sleeping the night.
Last night they slept at Menari. All trekkers it seems are doing really well and Ernst seemed quite pleased with their progress.
This group helped out yesterday when we had to get a message through to the two people airlifted off the track today. Its always a problem when a trekker does not employ a porter as when they have a problem and need to stay back for a chopper, the rest of the group have to move on. A food porter then has to stay back which puts more pressure on the rest of the food porters as they continue towards their next campsite.
The trekkers in question would have been picked up yesterday but bad weather set in and the helicopter company could not get out to pick them up.

MemberUpdate 27th July: Trekkers have now made it to Ua'Ule Creek where they will spend the night before walking off the track tomorrow.
The plan at this stage is for them to come up at Owers' Corner around midday tomorrow. After stopping off at the Bomana War Cemetery they should be back in their hotel by 3pm.
