Boss Meri
MemberIt must be good to be in demand as David Clark came off the track with the Army Cadets on Saturday and flew into Port Moresby. He was back on the track again on the 14th leading by request trek 424 which commenced at Owers' Corner on the 13th July.
Trekkers are:
Alan & Matthew Beazley; Rob & Phil Kercheval; Stephen and Troy Bell; Stuart Bowd; Stuart Telford; Matthew Stapley; Wayne Warner; Travis and Shane Gray; Tom Cooper; Peter MacKenzie; David Williams; Heather Marshall; Pam Margitich and Nathan Polley.

MemberAround 15 minutes after leaving the Gateway Hotel they were at Bomana War Cemetery. On this trek we are proud to have a guy from PNG amongst our trekkers who is in the foreground in this pic.

MemberAfter leaving Bomana War Cemetery trekkers were driven up to Owers' Corner where they met up with our Kokoda Trekking (KTL) staff waiting for them.
The photograph below was taken shortly before they descended down their first hill.

MemberUpdate 14th July: Trekkers slept last night at 'Goodwater' Uberi campsite and today phoned in from Emita Ridge and said all were ok and heading to Ioribaiwa where they would spend the night.

MemberHeard from the track this afternoon that all three treks were staying at Ioribaiwa Village tonight since arriving there around 1pm.

MemberUpdate 15th July: David called in from Maguli Ridge; Nauro and again when they arrived at Agulogo to say all trekkers were doing well and at this stage no worries among this group which is excellent NEWS for us.
Tonight all three treks will once again be together at Agulogo campsite.

MemberUpdate 16th July: Heard from David Clark this morning at 9:30 am from Menari lookout ,they will have tea break at Menari village and overnight at Efogi village tonight and all Trekkers are doing fine.

MemberUpdate 18th July: Trek 424 have now reached Eora Creek where they are spending the night. All trekkers and porters are still doing ok and heading for the finish line – being KOKODA !!!!

MemberTomorrow they will walk up to the village of Alola. After Alola they will walk towards Isurava Monument area and what a sight will greet them when they lay their eyes on the monument awaiting them, check it out below:

MemberUpdate 19th July: Trekkers are now heading for Deniki where they plan on spending the night. David radioed in today around midday to say they were all ok and that they had a service at Isurava Monument area and a break before heading off along the track.
All were now looking forward to getting out of the jungle and successfully completing their trek by walking into Kokoda tomorrow around 10am Sunday.

MemberToday they will walk down through the choko fields before reaching Deneki. Like the group in the photograph below they will no doubt have several rest periods.

MemberUpdate 22nd July: Trekkers walked out into the small township of Kokoda Station on the 20th July as planned and spend the night at Camp Kokoda drinking quite a few beers with our boys from the way the spoke yesterday when I caught up with them.

MemberOn arrival back in Port Moresby trekkers were driven to their respective hotels and later in the day we met up with them at the Gateway Hotel swimming pool area. They all appeared to blend quite well together and had a good time with our KTL boys.
