MemberTrek 420 had their morning tea at Ioribaiwa Village and had their early lunch at the foot of the Mt Imita Ridge. Their guide, Rod Ori mentioned that they will spend their last night at Goldie River.

MemberHave just heard that Rod plans on having his group up at Owers' Corner around 9am in the morning so its an early start for us. Tomorrow we also have another group heading out from Owers' Corner to drop off. As we always take trekkers to Bomana War Cemetery on the way out we have to allow an hour to fit this in as well, so am anticipating a 5am start for us.
Lets hope the trekkers heading out were not planning on sleeping in tomorrow…haha as to get to Owers' Corner we always allow 2 hours driving time.
Not too sure which side of Goldie River they planned on spending the night but one way or the other they will have to cross over it at some stage – refer pic below:

MemberTrekkers will then have a hard climb up to the top of Owers' Corner to pass through the archway.
Ran into trekkers from another trekking company today who were heading back home and they came over and remarked how even though they were with another group that they thoroughly enjoyed our boys singing and wanted to purchase some of their music off us.
Pics – indicates the climb to the top of the hill.
In another pic there is a photograph of Andrew Yauga their assistant guide who will no doubt be very happy like on another occasion when they all walk out at Owers' Corner tomorrow!

MemberHi Brian B… photographs posted on site are fantastic – my word those mountains look very high (and steep) and river crossings deep (isn't there a song that goes something like that!). Trust you are still in high spirits and muscle fatigue is being kept well at bay. Look forward to seeing you when you get back and enjoying the "slide night". love the Windonsxxx
