MemberHi Charles Stuart
Hello from the ocean to the jungle. Trust you are settling in to a marvellous experience. May the weather be kind, the tent go up easily, the blisters be small and the memories worthy of those who fought so long and hard. Love from us all, Julie

MemberUpdate 18th June: Rod Ori called in today saying he could not get a call out yesterday due to the weather conditions but that they had reached Eora Creek where they spent last night.
The first call stated that Jeanette had done it tough and had not arrived at the campsite until around 8pm last night.
The next call came about 20 minutes later saying she wanted to pull out as she could not finish her trek as she had breathing problems yesterday.
After much talk back and forth by sat phone it was decided to put in for a medevac and have her air lifted off the track. Due to weather the chopper could not head out today but will do so around 8am in the morning. Turns out Carmel has decided to fly back in with Jeanette so both will be flying back by helicopter to Port Moresby. I have not heard that Carmel has any problems just decided to stick with Jeanette. Tonight they have with them their two personal porters, Frank and Ian Taimbari along with some food to keep them company.
As for all the other trekkers they have moved off to Myola Junction 1900 campsite. All are doing really well with no problems it seems at this stage so lets think positive that they going to walk out at Owers' Corner and complete their trek.
The first night of their trek they stayed at Kovelo Village as planned and the following night Isurava Village. Yesterday morning they passed by the Isurava Monument Area before heading to the village of Alola and then down to cross over Eora Creek and a climb up to the campsite area.

MemberHello Andrew
Auntie arrived safely today and we are currently enjoying a lovely drop of red wine!! We will have one or two for you. Took Isaac to the Speech Therapist yesterday and she thought his words were coming along very well. We all wish you well, enjoying trekking with you by the web. Hope you and Craig are holding up OK. The kids are following you along the map and are very excited that you are nearly at the halfway mark. What an achievement! Take care and keep safe.
All our love

MemberHi Brian, Mike and Joe,
Well its day 4 of your trekking adventure and we are all wondering how you are doing. Are you all having fun and enjoying yourselves or is it all a bit too much! Is it as tough as you thought it would be and did your pre training help you in coping with the conditions on the trail. Nellie would like to know if you have mud on your faces yet and Becky is asking what your meals are like since all the Crown Executives had hamburgers and chips for lunch today! Ali says that people have been commenting on Mike's red shirt (he really stood out in the crowd) and that you all looked like yodas in the photos that we have seen on the Kokoda Website. Toni hopes that you are all saying your prayers and that you are being Christian to one another.
We are checking the Kokoda Website daily and hope to see more photos soon, everyone says hi and sends their good wishes.Exec Team and all your friends at Crown :

MemberReally really sorry to read that Jeanette finished her trek a bit early. Well done for all your efforts.
If Jeanette is well enough, just want to encourage Carmel to continue with her trek (if it's not too late). Being over half-way you will be back in Port Moreseby before you know it.
