Meet the crew led by Wallace Lemeki as guide and Dudley Babua as Assistant Guide

Wallace was very excited last night when he heard he had three trekkers all the way from England just to walk the track!

They will more than likely get sick of group photographs but we thought we would share a couple more with you as follows:

    Hi Kylie and Dean

Hope the legs are holding out for you. Photos of the group and country looks great. We are following the treck are dont envy the effort it must be taking walking the track so far. Are the climbs and decents as difficult as they look? Hang in there we are all thinking of you and sending positive vibes to keep you strong and cheer you on. Go kylie and Dean can't wait to hear the stories when you return.

As I am presently in Fiji at a travel tourism exchange, I have Horace Yauga doing the updates for me. Who is Horace you may ask, he is a student studying in Port Moresby who is sponsored by Kokoda Trekking. In his spare time he washes our vehicles and does anything asked of him.

Now he can add computer skills to his list of things he does for us. Horace is also the fourth fastest man to ever cross the Kokoda Track in 20 hours from Owers' Corner to Kokoda.

He is also the brother of Andrew Yauga one of our most popular guides.

    Photographs:

Pic 2: Horace arriving in Efogi the half way point of his race in 2006

Trek# 418 had their morning tea at Naduri at around 10am, and pushed onto the Kokoda Gap where their guide did a radio call. He advised that all the trekkers plus the porters are doing ok. They will over night at Templeton's Crossing 1 or 2.

You are our HERO's. We are all very proud of your efforts.

Sue said to remind you to look out for the leaches on the slippery decline . We have been worried that we have not seen you in any pictures after the group shots, your not bashful are you? The week has gone fast for us on the sideline looking on we hope you have had time to saviour the experience.

Be strong to the end, walk tall and join the elete crowd who have walked the Kokoda trail.
