MemberUpdate 27th April: The first night saw this group of trekkers overnighting at Goldie River before moving off yesterday to Ioribaiwa Village. All but four made it to Ioribaiwa and with them spending the night at Ua-Ule Creek.
Early this morning we heard by sat phone from our guide Kingsley that he was with the lead group at Ioribaiwa Village and Davidson our assistant guide (although a guide in his own right), spent the night with Andrew & Julie Shugg, Leanne Festing and I think he said Henry Jackson.
This morning the lead group moved off towards Naoro and the others played catch up. Later in the morning I heard from Davidson by 2 way radio that they too had reached Ioribaiwa and were heading off to Naoro to catch the lead group.
He had confidence they would join them later in the day. On average it takes around 8 hours to walk from Ua'Ule Creek to Naoro so they have a tough day ahead of them compared to the lead group of approximately 5-6 hours walking time.

MemberUdate 29th April: Trekkers have now all reached Efogi where they will run into our trek 474 heading in the opposite direction so assume party time tonight when our porters hug each other being all excited to reach the half way point.
Julie is still at the back of the pack doing it tough but hey she is hanging in there and doing quite well. The food drop went off as planned today so they had something to look forward to as they filled up their bags again for the second half of their trek.
Efogi is like a 5 star hotel by comparison to most places on the track.
One win haus has mattresses and pillows but I do not think the other win haus has any so looks like this trek has won the best one by getting there first ahead of his brother Chrisley leading the other trek 474.

MemberUpdate 30th April: Have just spoken to Julie Shrugg and passed on to her your messages as she is slower than the rest and other trekkers have moved ahead. Julie apologies in advance that she will not be able to remember them all but will inform the people concerned that people back home are thinking of them as they walk the track.
At the present moment Julie and our guide Kingsley are at Naduri lookout. Trekkers today will head down to Templeton's area where they will overnight. At the present time they are not sure whether it will be Templeton's 1 or 2. Its usually low in that area so unless they call up by sat phone we will not hear from them until tomorrow when they start their climb up to Alola.
Photographs:
Pic 1: Templeton's area
Pic 2: As you can see on the map below, they are heading for home, home being Kokoda. Pretty soon our boys will start to get excited as when the hit the Kokoda Gap area the point to Kokoda soil and know pretty soon they will be home.

MemberTrek 380,
Hope all are well and good to hear all are still marching forward.
Keep an eye on Richard, as a general rule he starts strong but the boy is prone to slowing up in his old age. Isn't that right pops.
Wish I was there to share it with you.
