MemberFrom a personal perspective, our trek was a life changing experience. The best and worst of times. Always challenging, never easy but a sense of great achievement at the conclusion at Owers' Corner.
Our team of guides and porters were nothing short of outstanding. Very ably led by Andrew and Chris. Not only performing the incredible feats of endurance undertaken on a daily basis, our guides and porters remained cheerful at all times.
My personal porter was Jerome and I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank him for the tremendous performance over the whole trip.
Many thanks to Kokoda Trekking for the planning and logistics.

MemberComments from your guide Andrew Yauga:
This trek is one of the best treks I have ever done. I enjoyed it especially with our KTL boys. Both the Group Porters and Personal Porters. Even though it was 6 days trek, without my instruction what I wanted to be done, they would just do it without me telling them. This is absolutely brilliant. I recommend these boys to be the best I hae worked with and would like to request them for future treks, they are the best!
Chrisley Boropi as my assistant guide, can talk openly. He knows a lot of the WWII history, knows sites, relates with the boys and villages, Maps etc.
He speaks to trekkers in fluent english, is a good leader. Can be a guide himself, try him.

MemberOn behalf of Management and Staff, we would like to thank everyone associated with this trek as the boys just LOVED IT and it seems the TREKKERS also had a fantastic time. Besides the near heart attack when our boys were supposed to have disappeared….it all went extremely well. Thanks again trek 361!
