MemberUpdate 16th October: ok, now we have the internet problem out of the way….the guys are at Templeton's Crossing Campsite where they are spending the night.
At the same campsite we have another group heading in the opposite direction with a group of 20 boys so I can only assume there will be lots of singing tonight!
Both trekkers are doing just great! The group keeps asking about the day they are supposed to come off the track….I keep saying the 18th to overnight in Kokoda and to fly back in on the 19th….BUT THEY ARE STILL ASKING!!! haha
I havent quite worked out if they want a shorter or longer time on the track. I think it may have come about coz I asked our guide why they skipped Efogi and moved onto Naduri…..hopefully they have now got the dates firmly set in their heads and will overnight tomorrow somewhere around Isurava and then arrive on average mid morning – midday in Kokoda.

MemberUpdate 18th October: Trekkers are presently at Kovelo and on their way to Kokoda. Earlier this morning I got a phone call from Deniki asking to fly back in today rather than overnighting and coming in tomorrow as Andy is worried about the problems re work.
Fortunately I managed to change the flight around and it is now down to fly out this afternoon leaving here at 3:30 weather permitting. So all going well they should be back in Port Moresby around 5pm today. The Gateway Hotel phone number is: 0011 675 327 8100

MemberThey will shortly walk into Kokoda where they will have a break and if they are not monumented out, will walk around the Museum area in Kokoda before heading down to Russell Eroro's family block. At 3pm they will head for the airport to hopefully all going well, catch their flight back into Port Moresby.

MemberUpdate 18th October 5:45pm: Trekkers are now back in Port Moresby a day early which caused a problem re accommodation as the whole town was full.
The Gateway Hotel managed to find a room at the Hideway Hotel.
Tomorrow they will book into the Gateway Hotel for their final night in PNG

MemberUpdate 19/10/07: Caught up with our two trekkers this afternoon, handed out their certificates and tee shirts and heard about their trek. Both trekkers looked relaxed as they talked about the boys and their trek.
Will share with you now some photographs taken this afternoon:
