As we heard a large group were heading out to Owers' Corner today we decided to get a jump start and pick up our trekkers at 5:30am. As they had already been here since Friday and visited the Bomana War Cemetery, it was straight out to Owers' for this group of trekkers which included:

Hayley Cameron; Andrew Pike; David Downie; Phil Clark; Sarah Hesse; David Macready; Haimish Karrsch; Neil Simmonds; Nick Hollingworth & Emma Weedon

We heard they reached their destination of Ula'Ule Creek this afternoon as planned where they will overnight.

Did I say Menari, they have pushed on to Efogi Village. A short time ago I heard all were ok except for Neil who it seems is struggling around the Brigade Hill area and our guide Cyprian has doubled up on his packs to try and help him.

We have just radioed Efogi to get four porters to walk back and help get them.

Update 6th September: Heard from our guide today that they planned on spending the night at Templeton's Crossing. All trekkers were still doing ok and on target to make Kokoda sometime on the 8th.

Trekkers made their way to Kokoda and arrived there mid afternoon yesterday 8th September where they overnighted at the Eroro Family Block.

This morning they returned to Port Moresby on our Hevi Lift chartered aircraft.
