MemberAs planned two treks headed out on the 2nd July in opposite directions. Trekkers who were dropped out at Owers' Corner yesterday included:
Walter Gross; Jim Wen; David and Danny Houston; Wendy Wen; Kevin Flippence; Adrian Thearle; Angus MacDonald; Lauren MacDonald; Karon Brookes; Ian MacDonald; Aaron Rubin; Jenny Chan; Bob and Rowan Pritchard.
We have not heard an update today as yet but will post something as soon as we hear from their guide Johnsford.

MemberWith them on this trek is a young female porter who is walking to help raise some money to pay for school fees so I could not resist taking a photograph of her and some of our KTL porters. We joked with Rita and said she should porter for one of the women, then added, maybe not coz their packs are generally heavier.
When I picked the group up from our chartered flight that brought them in for this trek, I was surprised to see a female hop off the flight. I thought perhaps being school holidays she was coming in to visit her family…not so, she was portering!

MemberTrek 413 were flown in by two charters hired from Tropic Air. Trekkers on this trek are made up as follows:
Daniel, Wilma & Jessie Leahy, Emma Staniforth, Matthew Bull, Edwina & Michael Walker, Zoe McCure, Ralph Chrystall, Harry Lowes and Andrw Wilson.
We met up with the trekkers at the Airways Hotel on the night before their trek and they were all pumped up ready to GO! Their guide is Rod Ori who is popular with trekkers so I know they will have a great time.
Last night they made it to Isurava Village where they overnighted. This morning they were up bright and early and headed off before the other 3 treks overnighting at the same village. As they are on a six day trek they would be trying to reach Templeton's tonight where they will most likely overnight. As they are low now, we do not expect to hear from them again until they reach Kagi or Efogi. If there is an emergency they can always call by sat phone.

MemberTrek 413 are in Efogi where they will spend the night. All trekkers are ok and doing well with no worries whatsoever it seems.

MemberCongratulations to trekkers from trek 337 who walked out today in Kokoda and who are sleeping tonight at Russell Eroro's family block.
Tomorrow 10th July they will fly back into Port Moresby at approximately 1:30pm.
All trekkers did extremely well.

MemberUpdate 10th July Trek 337: Trekkers arrived back into Port Moresby today from Kokoda a couple of hours later than the expected 1pm charter due to another trekking company taking longer than expected with the earlier charters. We do apologise for this but our charter was booked for 12:30pm and its the first time this year that Hevi Lift have not stuck to their schedule.
Tonight we met up with trekkers at the Gateway Hotel and took the following photographs:
