Mark Pearson; Jenny Pearson; Jai Tobin; Tracy Tobin; Frank Tobin; Shannon Tobin; Jane Boswell; Reiner Heller; Dominic Letho; Daniel Letho; Susan Scarpella; Kenneth Garrett; Rohan Letho Trek 296 – Second Trek – Separate Guide

The morning started with all trekkers being picked up from three separate hotels after which we headed off to Bomana War Cemetery for approximately an hour.

Photograph: while waiting for our trekkers to be ready to head off to Ower's Corner, our porters decided they wanted a group photograph, below is the result. The guy on the far right back row by the name of Roger was not walking with this group, he is a motor mechanic by trade and drove for us yesterday when our permanent driver went down with Malaria:

On the way up to Sogeri, we stopped off at the Sogeri Lookout and trekkers took the opportunity to take some pics of their own.

When we arrived up at Sogeri, we stopped at the monument area and our trekkers paused for another photograph. Not all were present as some had gone ahead in our troopcarrier.

As trekkers moved off we took another photograph…..trek 296 B. In this photograph we have two 13 year olds walking with their parents, isnt that great? One was carrying a football and you could tell he couldnt wait to start kicking it around wherever they stopped that night and thereafter.

John Derick Eroro will have his hands full with such a large group so we engaged for him two assistants, Chris Suma and Crissley Boropi.

Update 22/04/07: This group is going along just great. Trek 296B spent last night at Menari and today their guide Chris Suma radioed in to say they were at Brigade Hill. All trekkers were doing just fine.
