Robert Barnes: my porter's name was Wallace Lemeki. In keeping with your companies reputation, Wallace proved a great company embassador.

Nothing was too much trouble. He went the extra mile and always checked that my needs were met.

    Thank you Wallace.

Unfortunately no photograph as Mark was not feeling too good last night and had gone to bed so we did not get to meet up with him.

Grant Colman: this being my second trek, I was surprised by experiencing a totally new experience with weather and sights. Being 2 years older I found the trek that little bit harder, although still finishing on time with the superb help of Rod and all the KTL porters.

Once again, Rod was excellent in his lead of the trek and creating a musical and friendly environment.

    A big thanks!

Glenn Parker: the level of friendship and the overall experience of the journey through some of the hardest terrain and personal sweat was made bearable by your group.

A changing environment, from wet to dry was great and seeing how people survive in the highlands was very interesting.

Glad I was here to see this.

    Thanking you,

    Glenn Parker

    Food Porters Comments:

Jeff, Hubert & Felix – an equal and valuable asset to the trip. Peter, Glenn, Grant, Mark x 2 & Robert

Photograph: my namesake, Rod's new baby daughter, Gail Maree born in March this year. Trekkers had to pleasure of meeting his family and to know the village where he lives. Mark Goodear's contribution to the Kovelo school was the first time ever anyone has donated anything so Rod informed me today, the teacher is VERY HAPPY along with the school children.

On behalf of Management and Kokoda Trekking (KTL) Staff, we would like to thank you for coming back again and trekking with us. Also thanks to the extra two friends who accompanied you all on your second trek.

We loved having you as guests in PNG and you proved to be great trekkers. From all reports, our KTL boys really enjoyed themselves walking with you sharing stories, music and jokes.

Perhaps some of you may choose to return one day or as some of you were discussing last night with some of your children. Our KTL boys just LOVE walking with young children and it would be their pleasure to accompany them on the track along with yourselves of course.

thanks again for choosing Kokoda Trekking (KTL) as your preferred Kokoda Track Operator.
