MemberAs planned our three trekkers headed out to Popondetta today with Air Niugini and were met by our KTL Staff and driven to Gona where they will spend the night. Tomorrow they will have a look around and be driven to Buna before heading up to Kokoda where they will overnight. Early on the morning of the 24th they will commence walking to be in time for the Anzac Day dawn service at Isurava Battlesite area on the 25th:

MemberUpdate 28th April: Craig Wharton hurt his ankle at Isurava and was helped off the mountain today by our KTL rescue unit boys and will soon be back in Kokoda. Tomorrow he will travel down by road to Popondetta and will fly back in from there.
The other two trekkers are doing just fine and last night spent the night in Efogi. Today they called in from Brigade Hill as they were about to pass another of our treks heading in the opposite direction.

MemberUpdate 29th April:Craig Wharton is now back in Port Moresby having walked back out from Isurava Battlesite Monument Area. He overnighted last night at Rusty's Kokoda family block and was driven down to Popondetta for a flight back in this afternoon with Air Niugini.
As for the other two trekkers they have made it to Naoro Village where they will overnight. Both are doing extremely well. Photograph Nauro Village.

MemberUpdate 1st May: This morning our vehicle picked up Craig Wharton from the Gateway Hotel and drove up to Ower's Corner to wait for the two remaining trekkers to arrive up at Ower's Corner. We received a two way radio message saying they arrived around midday. Later they were driven into the Bomana War Cemetery before arriving back in Port Moresby.
