MemberDay 9: We left Ua'Ule Creek at 6:00am and made it to Ower's Corner a little after midday.
Photograph: Brett must have thought the hills would never finish as he pushed once again up another one not long before the finish line:

MemberThis was a happy but sad day for us as we knew we would have to say goodbye to our trekkers who we had walked with for 9 days. We were very happy however they they had completed their trek and myself and my porters were able to offer our support to ensure this happened.
End of trek 286 – a group photograph at Owers' Corner. Normally I dress up in traditional tapa cloth but unfortunately time was against me in Kokoda and I did not have time to go home to collect it so I improvised and cut up some rice bag I found in the bush to give my trekkers a traditional welcome at Owers' Corner

Trek 286Donna & Mason: I did not know what to expect, but we had a ball. All the guys were fantastic especially Cyprian. Without him I do not think I would have got through!
He was fantastic. All the guys were fantastic. Arthur is a very funny man. Chris is very cheeky too! Thanks for a great time!

MemberOn behalf of Kokoda Trekking I would like to thank you all for choosing to walk with us. Our KTL boys said you were a wonderful happy group and we thank you for treating them as your equal and having a great time with them so they could not only give you the walk of your life but also you went home with some Oro Province culture.
Perhaps we will see some of you again, until then, take care and thanks again for booking through us and walking with Kokoda Trekking.
