One last look at a village and the terrain as they fly back over the Kokoda Track and reflect the short flight duration compared to their time of walking from Ower's Corner to Kokoda:

Back in Port Moresby at the Gateway Hotel debriefing following their successful trek. All trekkers were wrapped in their time on the track. What is apparent to us is that its a hard slog but hey these happy trekkers proved its also an adventure as they just LOVED their experience.

They said the food was the best on the track; our KTL porters were fantastic and they could not have wished for a better group of guys; the hospitality shown by villagers for great and the welcome in Kokoda was one of the highlights with Russell's family and the traditional welcome.

ORO ORO ORO they will remember forever – which means WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME

A couple were ex trekkers who had walked with us before and when asked if it was better the second time round, they said YES, they will return with other friends, now how about that!!!

On the morning of the 25th April trekkers were picked up from their various hotels and taken to the Bomana War Cemetery for the dawn service. Later they went to the Australian High Commission for sausages and baked beans. Some went back to their hotel but the majority headed off to the Yacht Club.

From the Management and Staff, Kokoda Trekking would like to sincerely thank you for choosing to walk with us. You gave us no headaches as there were no medical problems and you all did extremely well. Congratulations from us all here at Kokoda Trekking. Perhaps one day we will meet again!
