MemberTrek 239 were down for a 9:40am take off by chartered aircraft into Kokoda this morning along with Pam Christie's trekkers. The weather was not kind to us today and all flights were delayed
Mentone Grammar students were supposed to take off on the first flight this morning to Efogi and be dropped off. Shortly after takeoff, their plane returned about 10 minutes later due to the weather.
Our flight was then forced to wait as they had the first flight out. A short time later Airlines of PNG's regular RPT service took off for Kokoda and could not land and it too returned to Port Moresby.
All in all our trekkers got away around midday and landed safely in Kokoda.
Robin Boyd & Michael Boyd will spend the night in Kokoda as guests of Russell Eroro's family and Pam and her group were hoping to make Deniki.
