Tonight we caught up with our latest group of trekkers who head out on the track tomorrow from Ower's Corner. We told them to get a good nights sleep before we collect them from the hotel tomorrow morning around 7am.

They asked if the track was wet…we could not say otherwise, so they are prepared for the worst conditions. If they run into sunshine, then they will be very very happy judging by the look on their faces.

Trekkers: Ryan Wavish; Ian Wavish; Bernard Curr; David Barrett; Michael Frigo; Linda Karafili; Terry Wall; Simon Wall; Mitchell Wall; Peter Lalor & Ross Johnstone

Trekkers adjusting their walking sticks before heading down the first hill. Linda had already met her porter Clement (maroon shirt – black beanie cap) and he is looking on. Clement has the nicest nature and I chose him personally to look after her. Ryan also seemed really excited as I guess he has been planning this for a long time and finally this was it….THE START:

All trekkers have now reached Efogi the half way point. Terry is doing it tough along with one of his sons but they are fine.

Tomorrow however, they will make their decision as to whether to push on or get airlifted out. Nothing major just a little dehydration. They have them drinking plenty of water it seems.

One of our other groups also in Efogi tonight is a group of doctors and nurses from Tweed Heads so no doubt they are in good hands.

Apparently they have been thoroughly enjoying their time on the trek with our KTL porters and guides and said to inform us they are having an absolute ball.

Trekkers arrived back from Kokoda this morning and were all happy with their trek as seen here at Jackson's Airport when we caught up with them.

Thanks for choosing Kokoda Trekking as you were a delight to deal with and really nice people.
