MemberOn Saturday 18th March, 7 trekkers left Ower's Corner walking towards Kokoda. At their briefing the night before all trekkers were pumped up and ready it seems to tackle the infamous kokoda track.
Sadly one trekker Adam Tilley was airlifted off the track the following day Sunday not from illness but from fatigue as he said it was too tough and he just couldnt cope with the terrain. Adam will fly into Kokoda tomorrow and wait for his friend the other Adam to arrive.
List of Trekkers:

Mark Stanesby; Troy Harris; Bruce Cockerill; Taz Cockerill; Anna Kernohan; Adam McRorie and Adam Tilley21/03/2006 at 3:31 am #96516Jessie Garap
MemberTrek 162 Update;
The group spent the night at Menari village last evening and today they will be heading down to Efogi 1 village where they will camp for the night.
There are no reports of injuries; all trekkers are doing extremely well, so that?s good news.
Although the weather doesn?t look too pleasing at this time, all trekkers including their youngest Taz, who is pretty much enjoying his walk, seem relaxed and coping well with the track, even though it?s muddy and slippery.
At the moment, they are up at Brigade Hill taking a rest; soon they will proceed down to their campsite.
More of their updates will be posted up later on this evening and the days yet to come.
If any family members out there would like to send any messages to their love ones, please feel free to write in and let me know. I will be more then happy to pass it on.
Trekkers and porters enjoying the great view from the top.

Membersorry cannot post anything from PNG at the moment as telephone lines have been out of order and Telikom are still working on the problem.
Trekkers are all going well however, according to my husband who just contacted me from his mobile phone.

MemberDue to some faults made by the Telikom workers here, our telephone lines and internet sever has been out since Wednesday, as a result, I was not able to give an update, and we apologies for the delay. However, Telikom?s managed to get it back on today.

MemberTrek 162 Wednesday Update;
After spending the night at Efogi, the group headed out early hours of Wednesday morning to get to their next destination.
Although the weather did not look ok that mroning, the track was manageable.This is what their guide Kingsley said when he updated me then;
?All trekkers are ok, so are the porters, no injuries or problems, we?re all doing fine. I wanted to take the trekkers through Kagi to have a look around, but they requested to have lunch at Naduri village and also take the opportunity to meeting the last of all veterans. And they did and are all very pleased about it. We will camp tonight at Myola Junction, I know for sure we won?t be able to get in touch with you when we get to Myola, because of the location we?re in, but we will give you a call tomorrow to give you an update.?

MemberTrek 162 Update;
Yes as previously updated by aussie, the group will spend the night at Isurava village tonight and head down to Kokoda tomorrow.
All trekkers are fine, although there have been some tough climbs and descending, all have done absolutely terrific these last three days. No problems or injuries.
They spent the night at Iora Creek yesterday, and this morning headed up to Alola, where they stopped for lunch.
Weather still doesn?t look ok at this time, but it?s not bordering anyone at all.

MemberTrekkers arrived in Kokoda at 2pm Saturday and will fly back into Port Moresby Sunday on average should arrivare around midday sometime.
Trekkers would have been welcomed in Kokoda yesterday by a traditional sing sing group at Rusty's Kokoda Family Block where they were due to spend the night:

MemberTrekkers would have enjoyed plenty of fresh fruit and food at Rusty (Russell Eroro's Family Block) yesterday when they arrived and last night for dinner just like this photograph taken last year on one of our treks.
