Trek 150
And good news, just managed to pass on all messages to the trekkers. They are all in Menari village. At this time, they are experiencing showers, so yeah it?s pretty much cold around that area, but all are fine just sitting in the guest-house relaxing near the fire. They will camp there as planned and will proceed to their next destination tomorrow.
All trekkers are fine, they did terrific, no injuries or problems, they all walked well and made it safely.
The trekkers sent this message to everyone who sent in messages of support;
?Thank you to everyone on Lihir Island and back in Australia for sending in messages to us. It?s been really tough but we are all fine and doing ok. It?s an amazing place and we?re really enjoying the track.
Georgia has seen a 2 1/2 meter snake which she?s proud of.
Thanks again from all of us here and we?ll see you all next week Sunday.?From top view of one of the many mountains on the trail.

All the best seems to be going well. We are having trouble negotiating Coyote Ugly bars.

MemberTo the Lihir trekkers – well done thus far – sounds like you are all handling things well and the prep has paid off.
Particularly glad to hear lapun man hasn't seized up and slowed his younger colleagues down <img src="http://developer2/board/upload/style_emoticons//tongue.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”:P” border=”0″ alt=”tongue.gif” />
Congrats to all and good luck for the balance of the trek – look forward to hearing some stories over a beer (whilst watching the GF) on Sunday night. Also interested to know if Leigh has been off the gaspers for the week !!

Trek 150
Earlier on today, I was out touring with other trekkers who had just finished their trek the day before. We toured all around Port Moresby and even went up to the Bomana War cemetery, where I think most of the time was well spent there.During my time out I was not here at the base to get any radio calls from the guide. However, I?ve just returned and Russell has just informed me of the groups? whereabouts and the trekkers? conditions.
They now reside in Ofi Creek where they will camp for the night. All trekkers are still surviving, doing grate no injuries or problems; they all still look fit and healthy like they started.
Tomorrow they will move on to Goldie River which is there last campsite and from there, will head out to Owers Corner the following day.
I?m pretty sure when they get to Imita Ridge tomorrow, Salvador will give me a call. And when he does, I will do my best to read out all the messages to the trekkers. At this time, I cannot do that, the groups location is in a position where two-way-radio reception won?t be able to pick up.

Trek 117
The group was at Uberi taking a break when Salvador called in to give their latest progress."We're at Uberi now taking a break. All trekkers are ok still looking fit, healthy and doing grate. From here we will push on to Goldie River where we'll camp for the night and tomorrow head out to Owers Corner," reported Salvador.
So looks like everythings ok around their end.
I tried reading out all the messages to the trekkers, but due to some radio interference and not clear reception, it was hard for the trekkers to hear any of the messages from me.
