MemberFirstly my apologies it has taken me so long to post anything but my computer crashed on the weekend and my IT guy managed to get me back online today.
However, due to the pick up at Ower's Corner today of some 17 trekkers, and one heading out tomorrow, followed by a debriefing and a briefing meant I am only now at 9pm updating this trek.
The group got away around 6:30 am on Sunday morning and looked very excited as they boarded their flight to Kokoda.
I heard they made it to Isurava yesterday and tonight they are sleeping at Eora Creek and all trekkers are doing really well.

Trekkers are:
Sue Reid; Sue van der Kley; Georgia White; Mark Laurie; Leigh Fisher & James Knaggs

MemberHi Guys, it's Ado your pseudo trekky,
Are those muscles aching yet! I'm sitting here at my PC thinking of how I should be out there with you. I hope all is going well. Unpacked the box with my pack and boots in it the other day, not sure if I'll ever get to put them to use. Shame I missed Kokoda with you guys I would really have loved to be there. Would you believe I have been goning to the gym since getting back to OZ so even though I was not training for the trek I am feeling prety fit. Mel and I are doing well in Kalgoorlie.
Enjoy your walk, have an awesome time and I want to see lots of photos. Wish I was with you.
cheers

Trek 150
When I last spoke to the group's guide Salvador yesterday, he told me that they where down in Alola village taking a lunch break. He reported that, they had spent the first night at Isurava village the day before and, where heading further up, to either Templeton's 1 or 2 to spend the second night.
"We have just come down from Isurava Battlefield, after having the trekkers look around. They shared some time of sorrow and pain, and soon after that we slowly headed down to Alola, where we are now.
Though, the beginning was tough for the trekkers, because it was the first day of walk. All didn't feel too well; they were very much exhausted and weak. But today, all seem to have, learned from the first day's walk and have done really well, no problems or injuries; they are all walking well and getting to our designated points on time. We might spend the night at either Templeton's 1 or 2, it depends on the trekkers movements," reported Salvador.Isurava Battlefield.

Trek 150
The group is currently heading down to Myola Junction. Salvador who?s behind the rest of group was up at Mt Bellamy when he called out to inform us of their progress. He said they spent the night at Templeton?s Crossing 2 yesterday evening and this morning where up bright and early to start their third day of walk.
They came up to the top of Mt Bellamy, where they took some rest and now heading down to Myola. It is said they will camp at Efogi 1 village tonight, and move out from there tomorrow.
Although, it was a wet weather last night and the ground is slippery and muddy today, the trekkers handled it well, and made it to the top of Mt Bellamy.
Everyone?s fine, doing terrific and going well, no problems what so ever. Only they were eager to know if they had any messages, and I?ve let their guide know that they have, so as soon as they get to Efogi, I?ll pass on their messages.Templeton's Crossing 1.

MemberAm I missing something??? which one is Claire? just scrolled up to the top and could not find the name!
Spoke to our guide yesterday and he said all but one Sue van der Kley are carrying their own packs and doing really well. Obviously shows the training they had done has paid off.

Trek 150
After having spent the night at Efogi 1 village, the group was up early this morning to start another long day of walk. Now residing up at Brigade Hill, the weather does not look too pleasing at all for the 7 trekkers. It has been raining since last night and this morning the entire village including the track itself was covered with fog.
Despite all that, the trekkers did grate, they walked well and made it to the top of Brigade Hill. All are fine, doing grate and still no reports of anyone injured. Tonight they plan on spending the night in Menari village and move out from their tomorrow.
I couldn?t pass on any messages to the trekkers yesterday, due to the unpleasant weather which contributed to the two-way-radio not having a clear reception. However, I?ve informed their guide again and he has said he will try this time, hopefully the rain won?t interfere.
Porters at the top of Brigade Hill.
