    Update 28th September, 2005;

    Trek 134
    The group, who is led by John Derek Eroro, is currently located at the top of Maguli Range. At this time, the trekkers and porters are taking a time out break after a long tireless walk. They will soon gather up and proceed on to New Nauro where they are planning on spending their second night.

    All trekkers are fine and doing absolutely grate.

    Yesterday the group guide tried giving me a call here at the base but due to their location, he was not able to get a clear reception. However today, he finally did.

    ?All trekkers are fine; they are all moving well and getting to our designated destinations on time. Only the older trekker in the group twisted his ankle on the first day of our walk, which slowed him down a bit, but today he?s doing really good.
    We will camp down in New Nauro village and tomorrow will push on to our next destination. Weather?s been dull this last two day, but no sign of rain,? reported John.

    Trek 134 includes the following trekkers;
    John Riboldi, Jim Carmichael, Graham Carmichael, Annie Raaschou, Grant Bowman, Lorraine Bowman, Jordanna Bowman, Mitchell Bowman.

    Trekkers seen here sitting on the steps of the Gateway Hotel shortly before boarding the vehicle to take them to the start of the Kokoda Trail:

    Glad to hear you're all fine, even without your support crew. Sydney is fairly dull without you all, hope the weather holds up for you. I hope your knees/legs/achilles/everything is holding up for you and i bet you're all glad for all the training you did.
    Keep on trekking

    Love you Jordy, i have your ring and it is safe, still trying to convince mum though… keep going, be strong like I know you can.

    Kokoda got nothing you

    Hi the Bowmans. Well how is it going? Mum and Dad are wondering if Grant packed a fishing rod and you are having trout for dinner? Hope all is going well. There referred to an "oldie" spraining an ankle day 1 but I knee that couldn't be any of you guys. Keep on a trekking. Love you all jb (aka flipper)

    Update 30th September, 2005;

    Trek 134
    The group camped in Menari village yesterday evening. All trekkers did ok, no problems or injuries all walked well and made it safely.

    Today they will move on to Efogi 1 village, which I'm pretty sure they will most likely spend the night, but that's not confirmed, we'll just have to wait and get the full report off from the groups guide.

    More later on.

    Porters and trekkers coming out of Menari air-strip to head up to Brigade Hill, to be followed by Efogi 1 village.

    To whoever passes on the messages.
    Would you mind not mentioning the football score as Jordanna's brother Mitchell Bowman didn't want to know. He plans to watch it when he comes home. With thanks. Julie Bond

    Update 3rd September, 2005;

    Trek 134
    The group now resides at Deniki. All trekkers are ok, no problems or injuries; all did absolutely terrific this last three days and made it safely to all their campsites, so that was good to hear.

    They will camp up Deniki look-out point tonight and tomorrow will push on down to Kokoda. So yeah, they?ve almost come to the end, one more night and they?ve finally accomplish their expedition.

    At the moment, the trekkers are taking a cool bath down in the creek, as soon as they come up, I will read out their messages via the guide or direct to the trekkers.

    Till then, keep an eye out for a reply.

    This is the view from Deniki look-out point.
