MemberAnother early start for us as we collected and took to the airport all trekkers at 5:30am in relation to three separate treks on the go.
129 A; 129 B & 129 C.
The first flight contained all of 129A & 129 B and left pretty much on schedule, once again many thanks to Airlines of PNG.
The second flight took care of the remaining trekkers in trek 129 C including one trekker Christie who stayed back for a drive around Port Moresby.
All trekkers were the invited guests of my business partner, Russell Eroro's family in Kokoda where they would have enjoyed a relaxing day and evening before heading off to Isurava this morning.

Once again thanks to Airlines of PNG for offering this to our clients as it was much appreciated by all trekkers having left their hotel room at 5am to prepare to go to the airport:

MemberTrekkers would have been met by our guides and porters at Kokoda yesterday and would have been driven up to the Kokoda Station for a walk around their small township and monument area:

MemberSorry everyone no messages today as the Kokoda Track Authority trek radio's are presently not working.
I spoke to the Chairman Alfred Amuli today and he assured me they had someone working on repairing the problem.
You can relax however in the knowledge that Russell's brother John Derrick Eroro is leading one of these treks and he has walked over 400 times before so he will be on hand to cover anything that might go wrong such as trekkers today carrying their own packs who might yell for a porter.
When I asked last night how many were carrying, plenty of hands went up!!!
All trekkers should have made it to Isurava Village today all going well and if not they would have returned to Kokoda to Russell's block.
Lets think positive, they have all done really well and are now sitting around the campfire having a meal. No doubt they will all be fairly tired as its a hard first day and can only assume they will soon turn in for the night in readiness for an early start tomorrow morning.

MemberTo Victor 129B,
Hi, I hope that this finds you all fit and well. I 'm looking forward to hearing how the first day and night went ( 1 down 7 to go!). I hope that you can save a little energy to jot a few things down in your diary. All is well here, Chris is off to yet another 18th tonight and the girls and I are going around to Julie and Rod's. We all miss you and find it very difficult to imagine what you are going through. Take care, love to Trevor and Damian.

Number 2 & 3 are back safe. (house is messy again <img src="http://developer2/board/upload/style_emoticons//sad.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”:(” border=”0″ alt=”sad.gif” /> )
Everyone is asking how you're going, or have I heard anything. Bets rang last night to see how her boys are.
Can't wait to see you Friday and hear what your trip has been like. Abe says he misses you and Brigid says "come back the mice are scary." Maree says she needs credit.
Love to you and all the Howards on the trail.
SueHi Mel and Sue2 how are you coping?

MemberWith the viruses under control, one can only now hope the mice at home will read the rules as well – The weather looks great unless they are using file images! All the best – I hear chilli sauce goes well with the boar (is that what it's called???)
Can't wait to see the new trimmed versions after all that exercise – all the best – do they let you read local news on the way? I hope u go the footy results – I've given up here and passed selections over to my students.

MemberHalo wantoks on 129B,
How is the weather? The yacht club is a great place, it would have been good to be there, I only hope that I am welcome back there after u guys. The local South Pacific brew is pretty good, particularly the export .
I hope they are feeding upela's more than tinpis and rais, and make sure they cook that pig well before upela's tuck into it.
As you know the tigers won, but it was not a pretty game.
Hope the legs are holding up and that pela's <img src="http://developer2/board/upload/style_emoticons//biggrin.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”:D” border=”0″ alt=”biggrin.gif” /> are not working those porters too hard.
Lukim u behain,
Marcus
