Update 15th August, 2005;

Trek 113
All well and very much looking forward for tomorrow, they now reside in Deniki look-out-point, where they will camp for the night. All trekkers are well and did fantastic today. No injuries or problems all seem to have done well and still looking fit, in good shape and spirit. They spent the night at Isurava village yesterday evening, and today did a short walk from top down to the mid point of the test mountain.

They are currently putting up their tents, and preparing themselves for the evening. While those who are finish, are just relaxing and just enjoying the great view, while others head out to the small creeks to take a quick bath.

Other than that, everything seems to be going ok, and everyone?s doing fantastic.

Bernie sends this on behalf of the team.

One day to go, we are all happy and healthy and looking forward to finishing tomorrow. Thanks to everyone, our love to you all.

Looks like, they'll be eating a whole lot tonight.

Hi there teamofthe113,

Ash here, sounds like you have all done an amazing job – well done! Maybe the Australian cricket team can learn something about mental toughness in the face of adversity from your good selves!

Hey Rach (babe!) – can't wait to have you back in town – its been quite tough trying not to arrange too much of our social life, or my next holiday (and ours if you wanna come!!) without you here! This incommunicado thing is certainly different…

Take care,

ash. <img src="http://developer2/board/upload/style_emoticons//cool.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”B)” border=”0″ alt=”cool.gif” />

Trekkers will walk into the small township of Kokoda tomorrow to a warm Oro Province Welcome complete with traditional dancing.

Trekkers have been invited to spend the night at Russell Eroro's family block (Rusty's Place) where they will be treated to some bread & scones followed by a home cooked meal with lots of organic vegetables grown in their garden.

No doubt they will be offered another swim in a creek or if they would prefer a 'real shower'.

All trekkers will fly back into Port Moresby on Wednesday and should be back in the Gateway Hotel before midday.

Traditional Sing Sing Welcome:

Well team almost there. Fantastic. Just like the Aussie cricketers. They drew the test against all odds. Punter made 156 and was man of the match. Just like you guys all people of the match. Enjoy your break in the sunshine and come back happy and proud. See you all soon.

Dear Dec,

Haven't heard a anything from the track but assume you are still alive. I have got everything into our new house with fairly minimal damage to myself and our belongings however you may be looking for a new wife when you get back.

Also had to change accom in Port (sorry it was too late for booking of first choice). I'll send the details to your phones so you know where to head when you get Cairns.

Have fun!

Update 16th August, 2005;

Trek 113
The group started early hours this morning, which now see them in Kovelo village. Yes! Almost to the end of their trek, all trekkers are ok, all fine and very much looking forward to finishing.

They will give us a call when they get to Kokoda stations and from there, if they have any last say, I will post it up on the website. So, keep an eye out for that.

Trekkers and porters taking a rest before, continuing on.
