Two guys are on the track and are doing extremely well. They commenced their walk when they flew over to the Oro Province and were met and driven up to Kokoda on the 22nd June. Trekkers include :

      [*]Les Petrou
      [*]Pieter Venoutsos

As planned they reached their first night's destination of Isurava Village mid afternoon. The following day they reached Templeton's Crossing. Last night saw them at the half way point of Efogi, so they are really flying along.

Tonight they are at Naoro and tomorrow they head down to Ioribaiwa Village. Both trekkers and our staff continue to do well.

Heard from Cyprian this afternoon that they are now at Ioribaiwa Village and perhaps like these trekkers on a previous trek they may have been relaxing just like them and thinking each day they are getting closer to the finish line of Owers' Corner. Cyprian says these trekkers are faster than average which is why they are arriving in campsites earlier than expected.

This trek is now at an area referred to as 'Goodwater' where they are well positioned to walk off the track tomorrow at Owers' Corner.

Congratulations are in order as they walked off the track this morning and caught their flight back to Australia this afternoon. Well done guys, our boys said they enjoyed very much walking with you and that you were fit made good time each day into the campsites. We trust you enjoyed your trek and go back home with fond memories of your walk. Thank you for choosing Kokoda Trekking.
