This group got away early yesterday morning but ended up with a short day and spent the night at Goodwater.
Trekkers on this trek include :

      [*]Joshua Kindred
      [*]Chris Kindred
      [*]Glynn Pearman
      [*]Trevor Smith
      [*]Brett Smith

Today the group have split up. Joshua & Chris Kindred along with Glynn Pearman are at Ofi Creek for the night.

It was decided today that Brett & Trevor Smith needed an extra couple of days to complete the their trek. As a result so they can continue to walk at Trevor's pace. Clement Harika will now be their guide allowing the others to move on according to the schedule.

Clement is one of our most experienced guides so they are in good hands. The others in the group will continue on with Pat Vainerere. All trekkers are ok and doing fine.

This trek is continuing on in two separate groups. Pat Vainerere is with the lead group and Clement Harika is back with Trevor and Brett. Joshua, Chris and Glynn were at Brigade Hill this morning around 10:30 and all three are doing well. The plan today is to head to Kagi for the night.

I am yet to receive a phone call from Clement but am expecting him to be at Menari tonight. Will update later once I hear from him.

Update on Trevor and Brett Smith: They have now reached Menari Village. Heard from Clement that they are both ok but walking at Trevor's pace. Tomorrow the plan is to try and reach Efogi the half way point but sometime during the day I will no doubt hear from Clement who will confirm exactly where they decide to pull up for the night. Picture them tomorrow walking across this bridge. The person in the photograph below is Clement Harika. They are in good hands, Clement is one of our most experienced guides and walks often. Trevor and Brett are also in the company of very experienced porters.

Pat and his group of 3 have moved on down to Templeton's Crossing whilst Clement is at the rear with Trevor and Brett who said they were going to stop at Efogi or depending on the time might push on further to Naduri.

The first group are now at Isurava Village for the night and will walk off the track around 1pm tomorrow. Trevor and Brett at the rear are now at an area called Dump 1 and they too are doing well but may run out of food as the budget was to finish tomorrow. Help is always just around the corner, as I informed Clement to let me know tomorrow what food they require and it will be walked in to them tomorrow.

Congratulations are in order as Pat Vainerere and his three trekkers walked off the track earlier today in Kokoda. The mobile service has been out of order so have not been able to speak to them but heard 30 minutes ago from another staff member in Kokoda that they arrived and went on down to Orohaven Pija for the night.

Have not heard from Clement as yet as to where they are, but was informed that more food that I arranged has been walked in to them to keep their tummy's full.

Will update as soon as I hear more from the track.
