MemberLast night found them at Templeton's Crossing so are presently ahead of schedule. According to Kingsley, the boys are setting a fast pace and the women must be fine to be keeping up with them.
Past the half way point now and heading for home, being Kokoda.
This afternoon I spoke with Pam and Margaret. They sounded so happy!

MemberTonight sees this group perfectly placed to walk down to Hoi tomorrow afternoon in readiness to walk off the track the following day. Today they crossed over Eora Creek followed by a walk up to Alola Village before deciding to go a little bit further down the track. Tomorrow morning picture them walking into Isurava Memorial area and down through the wild choko fields. Go team 1029, you will soon be celebrating your successful trek.

MemberThis trek is now at Kovelo Village and will leave there around 7am tomorrow morning. The boys will be preparing their last meal on the track about now. Picture them walking off the Kokoda Trail tomorrow just like this previous trekker in the photograph below.

MemberTrekkers have just walked through the archway in Kokoda and are now at the Kokoda Museum area waiting for it to open. Congratulations everyone from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. A hire vehicle is presently on its way to Kokoda to meet with the group and drive them down to Orohaven Pija where they will spend the night and fly back to Port Moresby tomorrow morning.
