The group made good time and were at Owers' Cnr around 9am preparing to move off but not before Holly took the time to say hi to some small children there with their mothers and have some group photographs taken.

The group have now reached Ua'Ule Creek. Tomorrow the plan is to head to Ofi Creek for the night. Everyone is going ok but I have a message from the boss: He told me he saw where Brett got to when he walked and the going got tough. He said he's an embarrassment to Kokoda Property! Tongue in cheek, he sounded in his element out on the track having walked it with us in 2005.

This group have now reached Ofi Creek. Mark wanted to push on to Naoro but Pat stopped him and said he told him tomorrow will be a big day as they head toward Menari for the night. At the moment he is sunbaking next to the creek according to Pat. I read out Hayley's comment and Pat said he will pass on to Mark. Standby as Mark might fire back. I asked Pat to text a reply should he do so and I will post it for you all to read. Alter Moeis rolled his ankle yesterday going down Imita Ridge. He is now taking it easy on the downhills but is ok, presume Pat strapped it up for him.

The group have now reached Agulogo. Earlier today they walked up Maguli Range where I believe Mark was able to send off some messages back home. They then reached Naoro before heading to Agulogo for the night. Tomorrow the plan is to reach Efogi 2 for the night. According to Pat, Mark and Holly are out in front setting the pace so doing really well. Alter Moeis has found his mountain legs and is fast catching up!

The group have now reached Efogi II. BTW, have passed on a message received via Pat to Mark re Mordialloc. Today was interesting it seems, as Mark was joking going up Brigade Hill that it was not that bad, just a small hill. Then karma set in at the top coz he was attacked by 4 bees which found him stripping off to try and get rid of them. One got him on the b*lls hence a fast strip to get rid of the sucker.

He was back laughing heading down to Efogi when him and Ramsy both slipped over several times. I think Pat said Ramsy twice but Mark four times and Holly once. No doubt they are counting them along the way how many times they hit the dirt and/or mud. Apparently they have experienced rain today as quite heavy for the past couple of hours which had them arriving at their destination late afternoon. Pat sounded like he is having a great time so they must be a fun group to walk with. Tomorrow they head down to Templeton's Crossing.

Last night was spent at Dump 1 and today the group are heading to Isurava Village for the night. Pat has heard via the Kokoda grapevine that Eora Creek bridge may not be safe so the chances are they will have to cross the old way like Mark did when he first walked 11 years ago. I spoke to him last night and he is still excited and happy especially that he is doing it this time round with his daughter Holly.

Our staff must be looking after them as he is already talking about bonuses for them. According to Pat it was a big day yesterday but they are all good and looking forward to today when later they walk through Isurava Memorial area. Before that happens, they still have a big day ahead of them.

According to Pat another big day today but they are safely at Isurava Memorial for the night having arrived there around 5pm. All are looking forward to getting off the track tomorrow when they head for the finish line – destination time around 1pm as they anticipate a 6am start tomorrow morning. Everyone continues to do well.

Congratulations are in order as this group walked off the track earlier this afternoon and under the archway. At the moment they are making their way down to Pija where they will spend the night. I asked one of our guides and their host for tonight, Sione Orosambo to go up in the hire car today and take a photograph for me and post it to his facebook wall.

When I first viewed it, I had a double take as Kokoda Trekking has been hijacked and the boys were all dressed in black, looks like they started out as our staff but walked off as Kokoda Property employees! Well done everyone, trust you have had a great time walking with Kokoda Trekking and we look forward to welcoming to PNG more of your staff or friends should any of them decide to follow in your footsteps. Check out the photograph below where the group will be staying tonight, as nothing like the penthouses you build back home Mark, but for Kokoda, its one of the best around.

I just received a message from Pat saying Clement Harika's family asked them to go to their village of Saga for refreshments before moving down to Orohaven Pija which is situated an hour or so further down the road.

Check out how colourful our boys look in our uniforms Mark? haha no comparison!
